my wife is on her company's account through AT&T. i dont know her company's account details though!
 
Do u think should one wanna upgrade this year anyone will accept a trade in on a contract locked phone?

(Of course can always resell on Craigslist as I’ve done in the past with carrier phones but I’m thinking in terms of trade in offers out there to not deal with selling the phone, etc)

Not sure if still going on but no it can be with an existing line

Just got this deal. $699 plus tax and supposedly no change to my 6gb plan with fan discount.

Had to call though, said I could not do it through chat.

Now just have to decide on AC+ or squaretrade.

I couldn't do this through loyalty chat. They had to call me and go over my options. What they did was discount my 6gb plan by $16.67 and put me on the 30 month installment plan for the 64gb iPhone @ $33.34 per month.

I didn't want to pay in full so this works out perfect for me. My rate plan will remain discounted forever after the phone is paid off or unless I switch plans later.
 
If anyone is interested I just got this deal again this week for an iPhone 8 for my son. It’s basically $450 off the list price of any phone so I got him a 64GB for $249. Thinking of getting my daughter a iPhone 7 32Gb for $99 or the 128GB for $199. It reminds me of the old subsidized plans - for me it doesn’t increase my monthly bill (I’m on a Family Share plan) - I just have to sign a 2 year commitment for each line I upgrade. The chat rep even waived the upgrade fee.

My deal was not as advertised. They removed the $20 line discount due to the contract. Negates the savings for me. Phone is heading back.
 
I have a mobile share plan (not even sure if they still have it) the line access fees on my account were $20 instead of $40. I was told that the phone purchase would not alter my plan at all and that they would waive the activation fee. They did not waive the fee and my line access went from $20 back to $40. Called to discuss (complain) and they said there is nothing they can do except extend the return period by 5 days so I can send it back.

Apparently if you have an unlimited plan this would not happen.

Dang yah mobile share wouldn’t make sense

I kept my plan untouched activation fee waived and x 64 for 549

I would’ve not had an X if not for this deal

Yea. Shady stuff if you ask me. They told my wife she’d get a discount on directv so she signed up. First bill, no discount. Need to have an unlimited plan. Same story here with the upgrade.
 
i am gonna switch to T-Mobile later this year! AT&T is doing shady stuff, they told me that my bill will be $80/month including taxes but when the bill came it was 92$ and rep said that previous rep did false information!

Retentions has $450 off any phone with a 2 year contract. Details in the thread that I started

Don’t think the X is offered anymore, but XS/XSMax yes and XR

Pretty sure its $450 off as Ive seen threads about people getting both
