Yeah, why are the pre-auth charges just sitting for 3/4+ days?
I check my bank account daily (not because of this, but to keep an eye on my accounts) and I can’t remember ever seeing any pending charges hang around this long before without either finalizing or disappearing. I’m sure it has happened before, but this just seems odd.

I am definitely getting a bit annoyed at how easy it seems to be for people to get store stock. I have a disability and none of the Apple stores around are particularly accessible, so I’m stuck waiting. I have no problems at all being patient if an item is legitimately constrained, but that does not appear to be the case here.

Check availability in store, if so, cancel the item and wait till you get an email and go buy it to pick it up.

Found a silver 256gb using istocknow at an Apple store here in Houston on Sunday. Glad this whole ordeal is finally over. Hope those of you who are waiting on deliveries phone arrives sooner than expected.

Still stuck in the OIP status in the 17-24 crowd. ATT Next, Apple store app order, reservation at 3:14. Anyone using Next in the 17-24 crowd see any movement?

Yeah, I had the same luck with the Highlands location on Saturday. Every option was available Saturday morning, but it ran out quick.

Apple treating the ATT Next folks terribly. I'm pretty sure I am going to order directly from ATT next year.

I had an order with ATT and got one of the launch day dates, but had to cancel it because ATT treated me so bad and I decided stick with my apple app store order. Long story short, there was a glitch on the ATT site and ATT app that wouldn't allow me to pay in full or put any money down towards the new phone and made me choose the monthly installments at whatever it is, 51 dollars a month or something like that. So, I chose that since it was a launch day date (last Friday) and said i will deal with it later thinking no problem. Well after talking to 6 different people and an ATT store visit, they said that there was nothing that they could do until the preorders showed up in their sales system which would have likely been middle of last week based on who I talked to, and they couldn't guarantee that they would be able to keep my order. They said that there was a good possibilty that they would have to cancel my order and create a new one and therefore forefeiting my launch day date. So, I think I will stick to the apple app and deal with the wait time. So, needless to say, I am not happy with the way ATT handled the situation and how I got bounced around so many times.

So, I am not sure what role the sales system plays in pre-orders, but judging by the "middle of next week" comment I got when I talked to someone in the sales department on Oct 27th, that could be why we haven't seen any movement yet.

That's good to know. I am not surprised either.

I am with the deliver 17-14 crowd. Still showing order in progress. No charge to the cc or movement. ATT Next Silver 256. No phones in stock anywhere on the island, but apple chat is still saying that the order could move up as they are trying to "surprise" customers. Order # W455

Absolutely nothing but OIP for me. W43

Mine finally flipped to preparing to ship this afternoon. Ordered through ATT next on Apple store app. Ship date still showing 11/17 group. Ordered at 3:09 am EST with confirmation email at 3:10 AM EST. almost cancelled today and was going to try to find some in stores but appeared the inventory was nowhere to be found and then it suddenly flipped. Order number starts with W52

Now shipped. It did have a delivery date from UPS of 11/13 but now is in Clearance in Progress status with delivery date unknown.

Anyone else see any movement? Still nothing on my end. No CC Charge, no status change, etc.

If a store opened up near me does that mean cancelling my preorder first then buying the other? Or would you be able to buy the in store phone then cancel the preorder later?

ATT Next

I'm in the same 11/17-24 delivery range, order starts with W53, and "order in progress". On Sunday I saw stock available for in store pickup at an Apple Store near me so I tried to order it, but the Apple Store app said there was already an order for my phone number so I think you'd have to cancel your order and then buy the phone. I am not going to cancel my order in case something goes wrong and I miss a store pickup.
