Yea my upgrade status was reversed instantaneously....its weird it took yours that long.

What color X are you after?

Silver 256 AT&T.

Apparently the nice people at AT&T kept searching for a Att order even though I told different people numerous times that I upgraded through Apple. Finally got through to someone that was finally able to reverse the pre order.

I went through this with them again and again. Truly infuriating after the third time.

So you didn't have to call at&t to reset your upgrade at all? Had you previously received an ATT installment agreement from ATT? I'm going to see if the apple store near me has any phones in stock, but I'm afraid to cancel and then my upgrade not resetting.

No. I canceled my order on Apple.com and it reset in about 3 minutes. I didn’t contact AT&T. I received an installment agreement but it was voided once the order was canceled. Submitted new order and received new agreement. It was easier than preordering. Good luck!

Well, guys.. I saw there was stock available at two of my nearest apple stores (both an hour away). So I canceled my order and proceeded to reserve one at the store. When I finally got to the end it wasn't available at the nearest store. No problem there was another. When I went to change it, that store too was out. So now I don't have a pre-order nor a reservation at a store. UGH! This is just pure chaos this year!

I'll add my woes. I'm stuck in the 11/17-24 (64GB SG) third ring of hell also and here in Dallas, it looks like the Apple store stock has been sold out for the past few days so the waiting game continues with no order movement on-line.

I'm not in the 11/17-11/24 group, I was originally 11/22-11/30 but yesterday I got an email that I've been bumped to 11/15-11/20. When I click the 'Check My Order' button from the email it says 'Preparing to Ship', when I call 6737, or click the check my order link that ATT texted me yesterday, it says 'back ordered' and not preparing to ship. Which is correct? and should I be worried that it won't get here during the time frame they're saying?

We are in the same exact situation, I'm even in Dallas lol.

Knox St. and NorthPark stores had AT&T 256 GB Silver and Black on Sunday and reservations were being taken for like 20 minutes. I feel like they'll probably get some stock in throughout the week.

Yeah since the stores are getting stock everyday, I went ahead and cancelled my att nxt order and will just pick up in store since I will be near one the next few days.....I will never preorder again

My order was originally set for 12/4-12/18 ship date. I got an email yesterday that it has been moved up to 11/20-11/28 but now it shows the order has "backordered" .... I'm wondering if that means its shipping early and I should be receiving tracking soon?

Edit: It just flipped to preparing to ship!

Yeah, why are the pre-auth charges just sitting for 3/4+ days?

I really am failing to understand the business practice in holding an auth charge for multiple days? Like the principle of this in context to how Apple has been dealing with other cases seems absolutely ridiculous?

Potentially, that auth charge could be held all the way to your 11/17 date. I feel as if I have made an agreement promise w/o reciprocity.
