It could just be an error and the system hasn’t updated. I wouldn’t rule out anything until it’s passed the delivery window tomorrow.

There’s a couple of flights from IND to NYC still scheduled in the next few hours for FedEx so hope isn’t lost for you yet. Just depends on sorting process.

Mine also shows backorder now if I do *6737# but the website says expected ship date was 9/15. Guess I’ll try to call and cancel and find one in store. I have the 14PM 512 Space Black ordered. 🫤 AT&T sucks! Now I remember why I stopped ordering from them on releases.

Excuse you sir it's SPAACCEEEEE BLACK lol. But yes, call your local AT&T stores mine received very little but got some at least and all they received was Space Black anyways haha. So you might get lucky! :)
 
Anyone else have USPS informed delivery and see a suspicious package coming today transferred from DHL? My order also started showing preparing to ship today and no longer shows the cancel button.
 
I ordered a 256GB Pro Max in Deep purple and a 512 Pro in Deep Purple on the evening of launch day. My wife's Pro comes today by Fedex (I have a tracking number through the Fedex app) and says backordered on the *6737#. It says preparing to ship online. My Pro Max switched over to preparing to ship last night even though it has delivery sometime between September 23-30th and says in progress on the *6737#. what are the chances my Pro Max comes today, and I get the tracking number late?
 
Got shipping infö this AM by utilizing the calling of *6737# and following the prompts. FEDEX tracking # provided. Tracking shows it is in my area (DC) now as of 5:45AM. Expected delivery today. Seems pretty seamless. Ordered my device about 10 minutes after 8AM EST.

Check USPS and see if they have a package coming for you.
 
According to att my shipment isn’t back ordered just a delay in the system and that I will be receiving my device either today or tomorrow. Who thinks this is too good to be true?
 
Update: still no changes on ATT but I did the *6737# and it shipped. Will be here today. Thank you everyone for the tips! And enjoy your new devices!

Going like clockwork.. love LOVE UPS arrived at the local processor last night, being processed to head out this morning and will be loaded on the truck shortly..
 
ATT site still not showing shipped but *6737# gave me shipping info. The phone is at the FedEx Pittsburgh warehouse already, just a few miles away. So I guess ATT's site is just slow to update things.

Not tomorrow. They don't deliver on the weekend for overnight shipping.

Website still says getting ready to ship! But, I received a text from ATT saying “Incoming your order is on the way!” iPhone pro max space black 1tb. Ordered at exactly 8:00am.
 
Starting to get a little worried. I never received any text or email from att that my phone shipped even though there’s tracking on my order page coming from fedex. Also my phone is not in my town. Still only showing left Indianapolis yesterday afternoon. I hate waiting.

Gibe it a litlte more time. You might not see anything until you actually get the phone today. Try calling and see if there's a delay in the system...thats always something
