Which phone are you getting?

Anybody heard of versant Vsci shipping? My order was shipped with them which is totally weird and tracking number says it’s invalid.
 
I had a very frustrating experience with AT&T. I ordered my phone at 8:26 AM Eastern time on the first pre-ordere day. Since I was traveling, I requested they send it to the hotel I was staying at. All seemed fine until the day before on the 15th when the phone still hadn’t shipped. Eventually, I received notification from FedEx that the phone would be delayed until Monday. Per AT&T, FedEx didn’t pick them up in time. Hard to believe. This is where it got interesting…

I called AT&T and requested they reroute the phone to my billing address because I would be out of the hotel and back home by then. I called FedEx first and rerouting wasn’t a problem, but only the shipper could request it. Then AT&T told me that FedEx doesn’t allow it. After I protested, they conferenced FedEx in to the call. Per an AT&T supervisor, it turns out that AT&T restrictions rerouting, but it was “no problem” because they would simply cancel the order. 😡
When I asked what that meant for delivery time, they told me it would probably get there at the end of October. 😡🤬

The solution turned out to be asking the hotel (actually their FedEx business center) to go ahead and put the phone back into FedEx for delivery to my home. The cost was about $12 and I should be receiving the phone tomorrow.

Overall, this has been a real clusterf*ck of a year for iPhone preorder at AT&T.

My wife also ordered a phone for delivery to the hotel. Her order suddenly got cancelled on the 15th. After HOURS on the phone with AT&T, they never could explain the reason for the cancellation, claiming it was done by the system. A supervisor finally told her that AT&T has been known to cancel orders if they run out of phones. Really?!?

So the moral of the story is that AT&T just doesn’t seem equipped or employees empowered to assist customers with simple requests. For my next order in a year or two, I will pay off the AT&T phone in advance of pre-order day and place my order with Apple.

I can’t tell you how many hours I wasted with AT&T that I will never get back. Did other’s experience similar issues or am I alone here?
I can’t believe that ATT would send to a hotel in the first place, I tried to have my daughter’s 14PM sent to her college, but ATT said they can only send to billing address, to eliminate potential fraud. Can’t imagine the scenario you describe ever going smoothly. Just my opnion.

Ordered a purple and a space black 14P 256 for my wife and I on 9/15. My wife got her purple one on Monday 9/19. My space black was not projected to ship until 10/7-10/14, but got surprised with a Shipped status update yesterday and it's scheduled to arrive via FedEx tomorrow. They beat their estimate by 2-3 weeks (assuming it arrives on schedule, but I do have a tracking number and it is with FedEx).

That's pretty impressive.

My space black was not projected to ship until 10/7-10/14, but got surprised with a Shipped status update yesterday and it's scheduled to arrive via FedEx tomorrow. They beat their estimate by 2-3 weeks (assuming it arrives on schedule, but I do have a tracking number and it is with FedEx).

Indeed! Congrats on the upgraded shipping date! I check my order daily hoping for good news like that as well! So far, still "on hold" and scheduled to ship 10/25-11/1. Keeping my fingers crossed for some movement tomorrow!
 
So I preordered (14PM, 128GB black) on Sept. 12th and was given an estimated ship date of Oct 24-31.
If I get on the ATT website right now and put together an order for that same phone it's giving an est. ship date of October 13-20. What gives?? Hoping my order was just given a very generous estimate for time to ship...
 
If you have an order that still hasn't shipped, you might want to try your luck at a local store. I received a 14 Pro Max 128 GB on Monday, shipped it back for return the same day because I decided it wasn't enough storage, and was able to order a 14 Pro Max 256 GB for 2 hour in-store pickup yesterday. Multiple AT&T stores around me had the one I wanted in stock, and I'm guessing they received a fresh supply on Tuesday morning, because I don't think they had any on Monday.

The tricky part will be getting your upgrade eligibility back when you cancel or return. I had originally tried to cancel my 128 GB order last week, but it didn't work, and then customer support told me I couldn't get my upgrade eligibility back until I received and returned the phone and they received it and processed it. For some reason, AT&T also couldn't accept the return in store because they weren't able to see any receipt in their system, so I had to ship it back. I left a bunch of 1 star responses to their surveys, and I guess because of those, a "resolution specialist" or something called me yesterday and was able to restore my upgrade eligibility even before AT&T received my return.
 
My Pro Max 256 Space Black is on its way. I should have it tomorrow. Shipped 3 days early.
I have it. I've already set it up from a backup from iCloud. No issues so far. Have a screen protector and case on it and it is doing its update to 6.01 right now. U can tell the difference in speed vs my 12 Pro Max. Everything is much quicker.

I have not tried the camera. I do not think I'll use it until the update is released, unless there is something I want to take a pic of.

I have a question, so when I preordered my iPhones I had to call to place the order, and then I told the lady I wanted to do the trade in promotion, and I also told her I’d like to trade it in the store and she said no problem! When my phone shipped, I was checking the plan and it doesn’t show anything about a trade in deal, can I still trade in my old phone after receiving the new phone even if it doesn’t show on the account it’s a trade in deal? I contacted customer support online and they said I can trade it in after 30 days of activating my new phone but I just wanna know if other people are in the same boat….

Based on my experience, they give conservative estimates when you order and can beat that by quite a bit, but you won't get any updates until it ships. Hang in there.
 
I ordered a 512gb 14 Pro Max Deep Purple a few hours after preorders opened and was given an estimated shipping date of 10/21-10/28

Just got the notification is has shipped and will be delivered tomorrow. Of course I had it delivered to my office figuring it would be a weekday lol but at least it does seem AT&T is moving through orders much faster than their anticipated dates.

Ordered the 1TB deep purple Pro Max on Mon Sept 12th with an Oct 25th-Nov 1st delivery date which I’m hoping will change for the better soon. Meanwhile I am ready…😎

Ordered on 9/17 the black and expected delivery 10/7-10/14 for another line. Hoping I get it earlier. Kicking myself for not pre-ordering on this line too.
 
Today, I ordered the iPhone 14 pro max in black 256, and it's scheduled to ship 10/14 - 10/21. At&t only let me ship it to my house, so I'm a bit worried what will happen if ups or fed ex tries to deliver my phone during the week when I'm at work and no one is home to sign for it. Any idea what happens?

Ordered the 14 PM deep purple 128 GB and got it on release day. Just can't get myself to like the color and can't find a case that matches well, so I returned it to the store today. Placed an order for silver and have a delivery window of 10/7 - 10/14. Hoping it will ship early, but don't mind waiting. Just wish I wasn't always so I decisive. (Or wish they would have display models in stores before preorder date so we can get a better idea).
 
If anyone is still waiting, I cancelled my 9/17 order (eta 10/7-14) because I saw Apple had some available to pick up today. A few kept popping up at different Apple Stores throughout the day. I cancelled with ATT and by the time I went to order on Apple.Com, it wasn’t available anymore at the store I wanted. Was so mad at myself and thought I was screwed. I tried again a few hours later and another popped up and was able to order for Apple store pick up.
 
My shipping estimate is the end of Oct. I was sort of hoping for something sooner, but maybe not.

I ordered a silver PM 256 GB on September 14 and its on hold with a delivery date of Oct 25 to Nov 1.
