Which phone are you getting?

Ordered 2 phones, for me and my wife. Via att.com, they wanted to give us $800 each on trade in. Using the Apple store app, it gave us $1000 each. Not sure why.

Had to change from an old grandfathered plan to unlimited. But the app wouldn’t let me buy two phones at once. Had to buy 1 at a time, on the $85/month plan, which is $75/month for 2 lines.

Any idea if the $75 rate will kick in automatically?

Does anyones order page show "Next Up"?

I added mine in and it showed the $6 based on monthly payments amount but I don't see it anywhere else on confirmation page.

Didn't get email yet so it maybe on there.

I seem recall same thing last year. It should be clearer as I know I choose it and saw the payment go from $19xx to $25xx.

But you would think they'd have something clearer than that as it shows if you choose their insurance or not (not as I get AppleCare on delivery).

*re did everything as the $500 upgrade money thru me off until I realized I got it last year too.

btw 12 minutes early Purple Pro Max 256

App works great in comparison.

I have an XS Max which it’s showing $800 trade in for towards a Pro Max. Seems high.

Is that correct?

When I ordered mine, they asked me if I wanted to add it but I decline it for this phone. I’ll just ride it out this time.

Ordered a 14 Pro at 8am via the AT&T app, still no email but it shows up on our account.

Did anyone get an email about having to sign after purchase this year?

Is anyone else not seeing their order when logged into AT&T? Got the email confirmation and can check using that link, but it seems like it is not linked to my account?

Pre-ordered a little after 10 am eastern. Sept. 23 projected ship date. Same as my Watch ultra. 512 hb pro max space black.

Not upset in the least about ship date. Regardless it’s happened twice before and I still got the phone on the release date.

It was a toss up on upgrading from 12 pro max and decided why not lol.

So Apple Store app said ATT offer was $350 in credits for me XS Max, so I went with Apple Card monthly payments and trade in through Apple for $210 since I got the extra Apple cash back and difference was only $90 dollars for 24 months vs. 36 months....now the Apple store and Att website show $800 in trade in credits....

Just put in my preorder for a Gold 256GB 14 Pro Max! My fist gold iPhone since the 5S but it was the only one with guaranteed delivery for next Friday so hey whatever I’m excited for it 😅

I'm trying to trade in an iPhone XS here. Apple is showing $800 in AT&T bill credits after trade in while AT&T is only providing $350. If I buy through Apple can I receive the full $800 amount?

My girlfriend did it with her XR, Apple offered $800 via att but att only showed $350. Hope it’s correct…

I finally got my order in at around 6AM PST and then ordered my bf a phone porting over his number at around 730AM PST. I got the email for his but not for mine...both show up in the account and his shows on hold as expected and mine shows "We got your order!" but nothing else - not even my trade. Hoping it all goes through seamlessly.

Was able to get a 14 Pro Max - Deep Purple ordered before 8 AM. By time I went to order a second one, the website had crashed, so I tired my luck with the mobile app and was able to get through.
This is how I got mine, at about 5:15 or so I saw your comment and stopped refreshing at my computer and opened the app instead. Thanks!

There is definitely a disconnect on what the Apple site is stating regarding trade-in values for AT&T subscribers. For my 11 Pro, AT&T has a 36 month bill credit trade-in value set at $800 whereas Apple is indicating $1000 for the same AT&T program. My current theory is that Apple is applying the value of Apple trade-in for this phone as the cost basis for the AT&T program. AT&T‘s 36 month bill credit trade-in indicates that phones valued at $230 and above are eligible for $1000 in bill credits, $130-$229 for $800 and $35-$129 for $350 in bill credits.

The $300 value Apple assigned to my iPhone 11 Pro would then fall in the $1000 bill credit category. However, AT&T specifically states that the iPhone 11 Pro is only eligible for the $800 bill credit.

In the end, it will be AT&T (not Apple) that will be processing the trade-in and applicable bill credits and they will do as they wish. As much as I would like get the full $1000, I‘ll definitely be satisfied with the $800.

One lesson I have learned from past experience, don’t send your trade-in in the mail. Once the device is out of your hands, it is nearly impossible to address trade-in issues if they arise. Bring the phone to your local official AT&T store for trade-in processing. If there is an issue identified at the store, you still have the opportunity to resolve it.

100%. I hate being tied into a contract, especially one with an awful company like ATT, which is why I'm still hesitant to upgrade my XS Max even though it is qualified for $800. This may be the last year to get that kind of value for a phone from that generation which is why she gave it a try with her XR.

While there will likely not be many people upgrading that gen of phone, it behooves ATT to process it as ordered since people with a phone that old are likely off-contract. If they balk she will just take her phone to another carrier and upgrade there. Not saying ATT is smart enough to act with customer retention in mind, but it will be a real easy choice for people to just port out.
