Y’all may want to go check the ATT stores. I had to go in yesterday to get a new sim and just asked the rep if they had any and he said they had a bunch of them. Mostly SG in 256GB and 512GB. He said they got a big truck in on Friday so it may be worth it to check. Good luck!

So after reading this, I called the 2 closest stores and asked about their stock. They both had 12.9" SG 256GB and Silver 512GB. Both said those were the most popular choices.
I asked about the 12.9" SG 1TB and was told those are impossible to find in store, but could be ordered online with a 3-5 day delivery window.
Huh....when I check online, it says
OK so I decided to cancel my request from the 4th and put in a new request this morning based on the few people in this forum. I did this at 10:37 cst this morning and it's preparing to ship now. I think at this point that deleting the order and then re-ordering the order seems to work.As of now, still 'In Progress', what the heck!

Congrats!!! I did the same thing. This is really weird on AT&T's part. I can't imagine how many other people are in the same dilemma and are unaware of this issue.

I'm too scared to do so. Everything sounds like 1TB is RARE and I'm just waiting my turn right now... Even Apple's site says delivery for them is into December
I am a AT&T business customer. So I called AT&T Premier Support. Had to put my order numbers in for the automated assistant. I have 2 orders, 1 11" and 1 12.9" Both Space Gray with 512 GB. Placed both orders on the 2nd. The website shows both orders as being "In Progress". The automated assistant says the 12.9" order will be complete within 24 hours. Was a lot more vague on the 11". Just says they will send out notifications when it ships. So hoping the 12.9" arrives tomorrow as that one is mine. The 11" is for my boss. So a lot less concerned for when that one will arrive! :-D
Yeah, everything ive seen tells me 1tb stock fulfilled apple’s own stores before the wireless carriers. No biggie.
My experience with ATT and just about every other carrier is that they give themselves huge delivery windows just like pizza delivery places do.
But they always arrive before prior to the deadline.
If I buy from AT&T, am I able to use a T-Mobile data plan or is the eSim locked down to AT&T?
All ipads are unlocked. Just use the physical sim slot. Pop in a Tmobile sim.

I agree to wait it out for the 1TB. The original dates and still are 11/26/2018-12/3/2018 and Apples website is 12/6-12/13 so I will wait it out. I will start pestering AT&T probably on the 25th if I haven't seen preparing for shipping by then.
I agree. I think what is happening is the versions with smaller storage options were the initial production run, and the 1TB models are probably coming on a later production run. Especially if the 6GB of RAM reported for the 1TB models requires a re-tooling or change on the assembly line.
I'm just gonna wait it out. It's only an extra 2 weeks. And nobody I know has a new model, so it's not like I have to suffer through watching someone use one while I wait.

I’ll do the same! It’s interesting how AT&T is shipping out their products. Yours flipped within 12 hours of mine and I had an earlier estimated delivery window. Happy that yours will be here towards the beginning of your estimate though!
Now I have to find a pencil and decide on a case... I like my original Apple keyboard for gen 1 IPP... just annoying I need to shell out 200$ more for basically the same keyboard.
Cancelled my 512 12.9 Silver order with BB, and just ordered the same on AT&T. BB order was supposed to be ready for in-store pickup yesterday but then got an email saying it may not be in until 12/13. AT&T says delivery date 11/16 - 11/20. Wanted Space Gray but Silver is fine, it’ll be in the new ASK anyway. Won’t see the back.
Yeah, I don’t think I’m going to get the pencil, but $200 for the case is not the business! I’m going to get it, but wow
