I canceled yesterday at 3:25pm ET and reordered yesterday at 8:05pm ET.
 
I have to say if it wasn't for the ability to order online, I don't think I'd stay with AT&T.
I'm upgrading from the old iPad 3rd generation (2012). But I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the 11" or 12.9". So rather than pre-order, I figured I'd wait till the 7th and go see them in person.
Well neither the phone agents nor the in-store agents could tell me if they were even going to have them available in-store.
Then when the 7th rolled around, they said no, not yet, maybe later in the week.
On the 8th, an in-store agent tried to tell me they weren't even out yet, so they obviously didn't have any.
On the 9th I was told by a chat agent that they are indeed available in-store right now. So I drove over to the local store, and not only were they not available (which I expected anyway), but they didn't even have display models. When I asked about display models, they said they didn't have the ability to remove the alarm on the packages, so they couldn't put out the display models.

So I ended up ordering the 12.9", which is what I was leaning towards anyway.

ATT honestly is complete garbabe as far as customer service I should have never left Tmobile. There customer service is top notch. Only reason I left is for better service in my area. I also don’t understand my new bills they are ridiculously high. Feels like hidden charges ect.
 
Anyone order a 12.9 512 SG see any movement etc? My current delivery dates are 11/15 - 11/23.

Well... I decided to take my chances and cancelled my order placed on November 4th with an estimated delivery date of Nov 12-19th. I placed another a few minutes ago with an estimated delivery date of November 14-16th. I figured I had nothing to lose since there has been no movement on the original order placed with AT&T.

I'll let you know it there is any changes with the new order for a 12.9 256GB Space Gray.

I used Next. I dont know what the hold up was on my first order placed on the 2nd and why this new order placed yesterday shipped so quickly. The only change I made on reorder was going from 64GB to 256GB.
 
Has anybody asked ATT recently why the dates online are better than the ones on our orders and why people are shipping and we aren’t?

I don't think any 12.9 1tb models have shipped yet with ATT. Also there is not reason to complain about something shipping when you're are not within the quoted shipping time frame. When That time frame passes and you still don't have your order.

THEN, come here and cry about it.

Update: The new order I placed yesterday was still pending credit & activations. I was lucky to reach someone at AT&T Premier that knew what to do and wanted to assist me. She pulled my order and contacted that department to get it approved. I finally have a phone number assigned to the new account and hope to see movement in the next few hours. I'll let you know if the order status changes from 'in-progress'.

Hope all of you are having better luck than I am with this.

Awesome! That's great news! Mine is out for delivery today. I wonder if our first orders were stuck in limbo somehow?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. You and another member who cancelled and reordered was the reason I decided to do the same thing. This was literally crazy. I've never seen anything like it.
