been trying to activate my iPad. but its not picking it up? anybody else has to go through the settings to look for the att account?
There is some talk on other threads that it doesn’t have a physical SIM and you might need to get one from AT&T. Haven’t tried activating mine yet.

I was able to activate it

Had to do a chat and give them my esim number to get it activated

Mine didn’t have a physical sim, but when I went into cellular data and picked ATT, logged in, I had to scroll the window a bit and just picked “activate” it was already there with the 20.00 / month increase.

Hopefully we ship tommorow with a Saturday delivery.

Ordered the exact same way today for the exact same item. Email for order confirmation received at 2:31pm. Email confirmation for item shipped received at 4:23pm. I get it tomorrow. So strange.

I'm also in the 11/12-11/19 batch for a 12.9 SG 256. ATT shows in progress still. The tracking number that dropped into my delivery manager Wednesday at 6pm hasn't changed status at all. Just says the label was created. I want my iPad!
 
Has anybody noticed that the dates online for the ipads keep getting smaller but our days ago preordered ipads aren’t going anywhere?

Is your tracking number UPS Ground or Fedex?
 
Yeah. I’ve noticed that too. Who knows what is going on over there at AT&T?
i myself ask the same question. as a fellow 11/12 - 11/19 bracket, nothing has changed. a couple days ago when i talked to a CSR from AT&T, our date range should ship out by today ... i won't hold my breath though ...

Me either but since I bought a new 2018 TB Macbook Pro and two stainless steel AW4 I wanted to finance something lol. Save some cash. Mine has them in stock too. I guess I will be waiting.

I wish I would have read your message before I went to the Apple store. While they had the Ipad I wanted I didn't know that you can't buy them from Apple on the Next plan. I just bought the Iphone and a AW4, as well, and wanted to finance the Ipad. So, I'm back to waiting also!
 
I got mine via ATT Premier for business and received it yesterday. No physical SIM and the website said it was activated for cellular however I could not get it to work. Once I turned cell on, it kept asking me to choose a plan to add even though it's just another line on our account. I had to call support and get them to manually activate it over the phone.
 
I upgraded my 10.5 and my wife's 9.7 to both 11's and it's been tough getting them activated. Had to chat with support for awhile and my wife's activated no problem. Mine on the other hand, activated and then lost signal all together today. I went to AT&T and their answer was to put a physical SIM in it. When I asked why the other iPad didn't need a physical SIM, he just said he didn't know and they weren't supporting eSIMS yet. I said the 9.7 and 10.5 have eSIMs and he said I could take it to Apple if I wanted. Nice. So I now have a Genius bar appointment next week cause I just wanna make sure this iPad is okay. I'd like to know why the eSIM works on one iPad and not the other. Any one else having issues? I saw a couple previous posts but looks like they got up and running with little issue.
