Personal preference of course. I had to think about it until i found out that the 3rd gen 12.9 is actually smaller than my
2nd and 1st gen 12.9. That sealed the deal for me.
I had just checked mine for the first time in about 30 minutes. Was trying not to obsess but now I get to obsess about tracking info

Still don't have tracking info yet though. Nothing is showing in UPSMyChoice or FedEx so I'm thinking it's an 11/8 delivery.
Oh ok. My shipping status just changed to “Preparing to ship” as well. My original shipping dates are 11/9 - 11/16. Hoping it comes by Friday.
Yeah, probably. And really it's not that big of a deal. It will get here when it gets here. I just need to keep an eye on my local stores for a Pencil.
I actually ordered the pencil first knowing it would be hard to get and was going to wait on the iPad. Ordered it from AT&T on a whim when it went live. Pencil comes tomorrow.

Just looked at Apple site. 2-3 weeks for a 12.9 256 for silver and grey. So feel good about pre-orders!
AT&T has me in the 13th-20th crowd for my 11" SG 512gb (ordered 11/5) but I'm curious to know if anybody last year had luck with in-store pickup on launch day? I'm probably going to head out a little later and see for myself but just thought to ask.
The Apple Stores here are showing pickup avavailable fore hat looks to be every model. I just ordered my pencil and will pick it up today. So much for 23-36 November via shipping.
Interesting. I’m actually curious as to why mine hasn’t shipped yet as all of the Apple stores seem to have plenty of stock.
Indeed. I'm guessing they'll ship out today. My delivery window for both models is 11/8 - 11/15 so I imagine they'll be delivered tomorrow or Friday.
I ordered via the Apple store, a 1T SG for AT&T. (I don't care if I pay monthly or for all of it at once). But I'm waiting for the "ready for pickup" email before I cancel, because half an hour after I ordered, now they are backordered again
I keep checking my email but really as soon as the label drops I'll get an alert out of FedEx or UPS so I should probably just chill. Just fingers crossed for tomorrow.
1TB version still processing 11/26-12/3. Got the case and the pencil though lol.
