Try a chat session with AT&T. I had to chat with someone that put in a ticket on my behalf to make changes on my account that added the feature. I'm not sure what was done exactly but the ticket was placed, I received a text saying it would be fixed by a specific date and it was. I have the feature on now where prior it said it was not available in my area. Chat with and explain what you're trying to do and with a little being nice they should get it fixed for you. They did for me.

I setup my wife's 5s last night, the wifi calling switch isn't even there. Weird... I have it working on my 6+.

At the moment, the service is in a trial state. The only devices supported in the trail are ones that also support VoLTE which at the moment is the 6 and 6 plus. In the future the service might expand outside of these devices but not until the trial is over and I'm reading that will be next year at the earliest.

I actually did try that and got no where. They just told me it wasn't available in my area.

Try again to see if you get someone that works with you. If you know others in your area have it, tell them you are aware of the others.

Just did a chat with an AT&T rep. They confirmed the feature is only available on the 6 and up. Weird since T-Mobile allows WiFi calling on 5s.

They can also check your account to make sure WiFi calling is enabled.

I just talked to AT&T and they stated that unless you are running the beta version of iOS9, the wifi calling feature will not work. So it should not be working on the live version of iOS9 that was released today.

They also said that it is waiting on FCC approval before it can be released to full public. Its been submitted for approval and just waiting.

Just spoke with CC. After 19 minutes of nonsense, she finally told me that it appears to be a "rollout" and if you don't have it now, you probably aren't getting it until the 25th. She said that is the "next date on her sheet". Didn't say for sure, but hopefully that rolls it out to everyone.

I got the same response from an ATT rep, sounds like they are just giving out whatever answer they are told to say. It's really frustrating for those of us that don't have service in certain areas. I also remember reading a few articles that said it would be available when ios9 rolled out.

No WiFi calling for me here in Miami Fla, last night i spoke to att after installing 9.0 and still nothing, and its enabled on my phone, so i guess they are just giving random answers.

I got this yesterday. It's still working for me. I guess AT&T doesn't know I already upgraded to the release iOS 9.0.

I guess this confirms that it's indeed a trial and that's probably why it's not working for many people. Some of you just have to be patient, sadly. :(

I too decided to give AT&T and call and inquire. I was told what others have said as well, if you activated Wi-Fi Calling on the iOS 9 beta, it will remain active. For those that didn't, we have to wait until FCC approves the nationwide rollout of the Wi-Fi Calling option. No official date was given.

I can wait, but this has me wondering...what if I install the 9.1 beta, maybe it would work then?!

Yup. For people who already have WiFi calling, they probably can continue to benefit from it. But ATT looks like won't add more beta users until FCC approval.
