Is it possible to have a different desktop background on your second monitor if you are spanning? It looked like that's what some of you are posting, but I can't figure out how to do it myself.

Yeah you can. When I span on my monitors at my desk, the wallpaper is different for the two. I'm pretty sure it's just in the "desktop picture" pane when you have two plugged in.

New Desktop Thread Rule Suggestion

Ok, alot of people have great wallpaper on here but you can't do anything with it cause they post a picture of their ACTUAL desktop and not the picture itself. So here is what I propose, either people should just post the picture, or at the very least post alike to the picture. Thoughts?

If you want the picture that someone is using just PM or email them and ask them if they will send you a copy. Most of my desktop pictures are fairly large, and i don't have any space to upload and link them to that is public, and i don't want to set up a place just for the monthly desktop thread. I wouldn't want people to just post a picture and not a screenshot. It is interesting to see what others have in their docks, on their desktops, and in their menu bars.

Thoughts are we don't need "rules" to post desktops  If you want a desktop PM the member.

I agree, I love seeing how people have their desktops set up not just the pic.

That's where I'm looking, and I'm not seeing anything. Everytime I change the background, it changes on both screens. However, after clicking the randomize button, they started showing different images. After turning random off, the second display is stuck changing the picture every 5 seconds, and the internal can be set seprately. But, I have no control over what is being used on the second display, it is stuck on random.

I know i always check and reply to my PMs, but if some don't or you can't email them then ask them within the thread.

nice, I envy your new display! And the Happy Tree Friends, probably one of the most disgusting things I've seen, but still funny ;)

Thanks :) I'm actually thinking about returning the display and getting a 23"

And I'd really like to find a desktop w/Serge the seal of death...
