ESTIMATED DELIVERY BY23/10/2020 17:00

Is there a chance it could come earlier cause at 9:15 it said "Your shipment's with a driver"?

Oh wow the first time I’ve seen the Aussies with a pre order thread!

My Pacific Blue 12 Pro 128Gb is hopefully arriving 26/10. I’m in Melbourne and Friday is a public holiday so Monday 26/10 was the first available date Apple offered. So keen! Hopefully my case arrives before hand on Thursday but no guarantees. Aus Post is already struggling and I’m yet to receive an Apple delivery on time this year per Apple’s forecast.

What about you?!
It’s OK. If it’s coming straight from Apple it won’t be AusPost. The public holiday does cause delays though as courier companies in Melbourne have twice the amount of freight to deliver in one day.

My blue 12 has shipped 😁 should be here Monday. Thought TNT is doing deliveries. 🤔

Coming via StarTrack, they deliver on weekends? 🤔😂

If anyone else is waiting for a telstra order, mine just arrived to the sunshine coast without any updates on star tracks website

Telstra even said they haven’t sent it yet, lol

Q: Does anyone know if you can turn up to the store and pick one up, or do you have to order on the Online Store for pickup?

You can turn up, but you might have to wait a while. They pair you up with an employee, so it depends on the availability of the employees. I would say it's worth a try.

My initial purchase order crashed when entering payment info 1 minute into the pre release last week and by the time I got through again, shipment estimates had slipped to 30OCT to 04NOV, but today I received notification of the phone being shipped with a delivery date for 27OCT so hopefully if it arrives on time, then the delay won't be as bad as first thought. Apple is using TNT to ship my phone, which is a lot better than Australia Post which has lost my Magsafe Charger.

One thing I will say, I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and when I went overseas it was a nightmare using it. I promised myself I will never purchase another iPhone unless purchased from Apple Online or Apple Retail Store. What they don’t tell you is Telstra, Vodafone & Optus, have their phones network unlocked for use within Australia & NZ. But when you travel abroad and try use dual sim (Telstra sim with Flexiroam eSIM), it wouldn’t activate. I spent three hours in the UK Apple Genius Bar to discover this problem. Ended up using some dodgy website to get my IMEI unlocked.

Pro Tip: Buy only from Apple and save the headaches of these network locked phones.

P.S.The wait for 12 Pro Max is killing me. I’d have a bright pink one if it meant I could have it now.

Mate, I totally understand what you are saying as I personally went through a similar problem back in the iPhone 7 days, and since then, I always pre-ordered unlocked iPhones from the Apple store only. BTW, I just received my 12 Pro PB, and I really like the size so far (I'm coming from 11PM). I think I will give this a try for a couple of weeks; otherwise, I will be in for a 12PM pre-order. 😂

EDIT: My main concern is the 12 Pro battery life as I am a heavy user, and I already feel that 12 Pro's juice won't last a full day if used heavily (even without or little 5G), let's see...

Didn't think iPhones were locked anymore? What about from JB, HN, GG?

Unfortunately all the same deal as the carriers. They often buy from a distributor such as Brightpoint. JB offer iPhones on plans through Telstra so it would be the same as buying an iPhone through Telstra. At the end of the day if you’re using it in Australia and switching between networks here it won’t be an issue. If you plan to travel overseas, be prepared for a headache.

Yeah but they sell outright too, my son has a telstra iP8 and has used it in Germany and now Denmark this year with no problems.

Can anyone rural comment on if the 12 has better reception for calls/streaming radio on Telstra than the 11 pro? Not going to jump in unless it does, the rorters want another $25 a month for a 5G plan.
Doesn't have a bluetick so am guessing no difference. But then new Qualcomm v intel?

Any buyers in the Melbourne/Victorian area who bought from Apple and TNT’s tracking still says the iPhone is in Sydney?

Strange it hasn’t updated since 21 October. Thankfully the ETA is still 26 October 🤞🏻🤞🏻
