A 20 page thread about bacon started by someone named pimentoLoaf.

Only MacRumors I tell you... :p

I do like bacon. I eat the turkey kind mostly, but when I visit my folks I get my father's famous Southern floured and fried bacon. It rocks.

I find myself rather intrigued by a description of floured and fried bacon
Does it get a crispy coating like fried chicken?
mmmmmmmmmmm....... bacon.............. :)

The thread will be celebrating its 6th birthday in February. Surely the longest running thread in MacRumors history.

Yep, it sure does. If it's done right then there's a light crispy seasoned fried exterior and a soft juicy and meaty bacon middle. It's truly awesome. I thought my dad was the only one who made such a creation, but then I saw some diner on Food Network that is famous for the same thing. My parents are both true Mississippi born southern cooks. Too bad I only get home about twice a year. :(

If there was a chicken thread, and the bacon thread was then wrapped around it, we would be looking at the best thread in existence. Mods, get on it.

ezzie and I went to cook bacon last night, but it went bad :(

Gratuitous amounts of bacon will have to be consumed this weekend to make up for this disaster.

OMG, does ANYTHING SMELL BETER IN THE MORNING?
As my Golden Retriever says, "Pigs are our friends".
BTW, never fry, bake it on a cookie sheet, with 1/2 " sides, dust the bacon with Penzey's Spices, "Foxpoint" blend- UNBELIEVABLE.
When finished, put in a food storage bag in the fridge, nuke for 30 seconds a slice when desired, bacon in 30 seconds:p
