It's a bit out of date..

Mac Sucks is a non-commercial and objective website providing hands-on facts on the Apple Macintosh.

Objective.. yes.. reminder, your website's name is "mac-sucks.com". Objective.. yes..

Keep in mind also that it offers no recording option and no belt clip. Two very crucial benefits a portable mp3-player should have.

Maybe he can store it in his fanny-pack?

Would everyone please shutup? This is really getting out of hand. THESE ARE COMPUTERS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. It's not the end of the world if you use Windows, and there's no reason to bash Mac's unnecessarily.

Why do people find it necessary to segregate themselves about dumb things only to complain about other things later on?

I'm just hoping the site's webcat comes up with some concrete arguments. So far... he's a bit out of date.

True, the website is rather out of date. For example, the site is still complaining about the "hockey puck" mouse that came with the original iMac G3.

I can see why he hates Macs - they come with built-in spell checking software on a number of applications.

Edit: This is apparently very old news. I thought it looked familiar.

It appears the site only trashes Mac hardware...

IMO, Mac hardware doesn't have to be as fast because the OS is so solid. With Windows, you could have the best processor in the world with 8GB of RAM and your computer isn't going to act like it is any more than a 3GHz system with 512GB of RAM because the OS is such trash.

lol...in a lot of aspects they are correct...as sad as it may be.

I've actually noticed that, but I think it's a tribute to Apple that I know all of those things and still wouldn't ever buy another Windows-based machine.

I love the depth of his arguments.

It seems that Apple thinks that they've revolutionized computing by developing mediocre software for viewing digital photos, editing video, burning CDs and DVDs and listening to music. Well they haven't!

He reminds me of Stewie from Family Guy, hopefully somebody has seen this one:

Stewie: "The outrages I have suffered today will not be soon forgotten. I will not be forgetting... those outrages. No they wont be forgetten, not the outrages."

gotta love this:

We had atleast 20-30 issues a day with the Macs and about 2-5 with the PCs. The problem was also that the issues we had with the Macs were often illogical and took huge amounts of time to solve. Another aspect was that the Mac-users never learned from their mistakes and what we told them.

thats from 'real' stories on the Mac-sucks site ..

Yeah that one made me laugh.. as a long time support person, I was plugging in WinTels into everyplace he had "Mac" and found it to be much more accurate from my experiences.

Your experiences may vary. (probably not)

I dunno what you think about this site, my title was perhaps over eager. I just think it's pointless trying to make Apple look stupid. Just thought they were kinda fecked up. Sorry if I was a bit too eager.:D

What a complete and utter tw&t, macs unsuerfriendly what a liar, and obviosly a person who hasn't gone through puberty yet, and can't afford a decent machine, why doesn't he write about how macs can run both OS's but a pc can't, no what a shame, what a complete loser, we should send him a link to this thread and tell him how big of a one he is, whose with me

Well, I suspect this site hasn't been updated since 2003. So either it was a joke and the webcat wanted to see what would come of it, or that was the best he could do with his arguments.

Yeah, too bad we have the right to free speech in most countries.

Stupid personal freedoms!

:)

Other things:
- Oh yeah, I definitely love Mine Sweeper on Mac OS X... too bad that's what people play on Windows. Too bad Quake III is available for Mac OS X too!
- Wait, Mac OS X is based of of freeBSD? More like freeBS, available from mac-sucks.com!
- Yeah, I'm going to go buy a $120 30 GB video media player... oh wait, it broke.
- Yup, everybody I know talks about how much iLife sucks and how their Microsoft, uh... Microsoft Media... oh wait, there is none.
- Absolutely. I love how easy it is to connect to the internet in Windows, until it tells me it can't connect. For... some reason.
- Oh, yes. I'll admit it. A shiny new iMac Core Duo is much uglier than this. That's just beauty right there.
- Yup. Everyone knows the amazing unit called the "Performance." My MBP gets more performance than your MBP!
- Yeah, I'll admit there's more software available for the PC. I get so jealous sometimes! I want all of your viruses and spyware and zombie server malware!
- The website claims most apps don't come with a user interface. Wait, so Apple didn't help invent the GUI?
- Design: Yeah, macmod.com and applefritter.com don't exist. Woah, where'd I get those two URL's?

Apparently he has not seen this months Consumer Report where Apple was Number 1 in every area (Desktops, Tech Support, Repair Turn-Around Time, etc... ) except it came in 4th for laptops, Sony I believe was first, Gateway was dead last. So much for Mac's Suck.
