I love this site, it's such a great example of several logical fallacies, poor statistics, and of course all the articles are from 2002. It's great, especially the comments with the Editor's Note: all the drama and hilarity of watching two 13-year-old girls argue.

Hi-Larious.

I left a comment in their feedback section....On the so-called "objective" mac-sucks.com....

I own both a mac and a PC. I did realize something that you neglected to mention on your website. The over 100,000 viruses for PC's, and the 0 for macs. Also, I do find Apple's design and ease of use is superior, but the PC's software library better. So basically, if you are going to say that macs suck, then state the unbiased facts, not just the one-sided view.

Nice feedback spazattack674. Did you get any response? :)

Wow. Some one definitely wasted some hours of their life making this website. How many people make a website about a type of computer they hate? I think I can find a couple hundred better things to do that talk trash about a computer I've never used. I use to think mac's we garbage, but now, I have the most wonderful notebook ever. My powerbook 12" :D

Good point, there are plenty of better things for these "folks" to have done.

I left some feedback... but it completely denies everything they "know".

*Dramatic and determined voice* Join my army by sending   ;) . Together, we WILL destroy all Mac hating sites, especially the ones that lie about having facts. First target: Mac-Sucks.com . When: As soon as I get willing soldiers. Lol...

BTW, for the ones who read the feedback others left on that site, did you see some guy named Alex's post saying he had 16 crashes in 8 months, so he literally threw his iMac (a top-of-the-line model as he stated, probably worth a lot) into the street, got into his car, and RAN OVER THE IMAC!!!! He could've checked with Apple to see what they could do before destroying it....

I'm gonna do that, but replace Steve Jobs with Bill Gates. I'd probably get a $50 iTunes card... and keys to a Ferrari... Lol
And probably a big hug from Steve Jobs himself. :D

ok ok ok...i do not know why i am responding to this topic.

Rant::mad:
-MACS DO NOT SUCK, NEITHER DO PCs.
-Mac fanboys who say macs are faster...are ignorant
-People who can see no point in buying a mac are absolute ****ing utilitarians
-People who can see the advantages and disadvantages of each and buy the one that suits the objectives of them owning a computer rather than just buy one or the other becuase they are fanboys are usually the ones that get the best exprience from the computer they buy.
<End Rant>

kkty :D

Much greener pastures
Anybody notice that the kid on the front page gets "top grades!"...despite the fact that he apparently can't construct a grammatical sentence?

"Mom said I played too much games so we got a Mac instead." It should be, "Mom said I played too many games...".

When the site designer can't even get through the very first page without looking stupid, you know what kind of content you're going to find inside.

Sounds like a plan. ;)

Haha that site is so stupid. Why on earth would someone even do that?

Because maybe they are possessed by demons? ;) :D

I disagree with posts like these.. sure, Apple stuff do look good.

So what?

Looks are subjective, what looks good to you may not look good to someone else. Likewise one might decide that looks are not worth that 100% price premium and go for functionality instead, especially in view that the cheaper PC is way more upgradeable and serviceable that your *cough* Mac Mini *cough* iMac.

Well here is one of his gems that I responded to:

Yours:

Actually Apple's Mac OS X (the operating system) is not based on their own technology, but by the technology of freeBSD. Apple's own capabilities in form of creating an operating system have been demonstrated in previous versions of Mac OS. It took an operating system based on someone else's technology to get a Mac multitasking and not behaving like an oversized pocket calculator from 1985.

My response:

Interesting considering DOS and Windows was based in part on Gary Kildalls CP/M. Way to be objective.

I remember something about a powerbook duo frame a few years back, shocking how he had to wait for a pc that could run XP to have a digital photo frame while mac users could use a trashed duo running system 7.

Looked up what software the server hosting his site ran, Win2003 and Apache, if this guy is anti apple and anti command line, what is he doing with apache?

Think most of the issues that he "discusses" have gone away.

The world needs people like him, or at least so I hear! LOL

Keep in mind also that it offers no recording option and no belt clip. Two very crucial benefits a portable mp3-player should have.

Maybe he can store it in his fanny-pack?
Idiots, they have shot them self in the foot. MP3-player, wow of course it cannot record, or else it would be a MP3-recorder. Derrr!

You should replace that with Steve Ballmer instead, since Bill Gates will no longer be the head of Microsoft. Also, you should go with something softer like "Steve Ballmer loves to throw chairs" instead, unless you want the FBI knocking at your door. ;-)

interesting story from yesterday.

One of my new clients saw my Mac and made some kinda of strange face. He told me his wife had used Macs in the past. But the crazy thing is according to him, "My pc would chug along and drop frames and wasn't very good when capturing DV and making DVDs, but when I plugged it into the Mac everything worked and it was great." He still buys PCs!

He probably neglected to mention the fact that the woman is now his ex-wife.
