That is a bit dodgy, the green sport band I ordered came in an apple watch sport box, so someone must of got their AWS without a box lol.
I think it has to do with whether it was sold to CEX as a band only or watch and band. So if someone sold them a Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet, CEX will sell them separately, only have a box for the watch face, but none for the strap itself.

I know what you mean, doesn't explain my sport band being in a watch box though. Unless for some reason they had an extra box with no watch face in it.

Maybe someone bought it in store and had no need for the box?

Seems unlikely but sure, could be.

Alternatively on selling their unwanted sports band, they turned in the box also for an extra pound or two (because the CEX guy said it was the difference between grade B and A)?

Grade A no longer requires a box, it's purely the condition of the item. (So I was told in Liverpool CEX when selling a Nexus 6)

No longer... Since when?

You've had people tell you the 38mm and 42mm are the same size. It wouldn't surprise me..

That was in November (sold my Nexus 6 and bought an iPhone 6S Plus from them), I was totally surprised. I sold an LG watch to them at the same time, bought as B Grade from Manchester and sold as A Grade to Liverpool!

Well got my grade B black leather loop today.

Without box unfortunately and was a little dirty. Gave it a clean up and looks unused, not sure why they didn't just clean it up and they may have got grade A money for it. Very happy with that purchase, £129 band that cost me £38

Just waiting on the stone and brown leather loop now

Ok before I buy an A rated sport band, in your experience how many bands are legit vs. knockoff?

My Black Sports band with Space Grey pin was Grade A, it arrived in it's box pretty much never used, it included the spare M/L band and all the paper work included. :)

I've only heard of a couple of people receive knock off link bands.

Not heard any sports bands been knock offs though. I've got 3 bands from them, 2 being sports and 1 a leather loop and they're all real.

Between myself, friends and work colleagues, we're probably ordered 20 straps and bands between us. All have been real.

Still waiting on my order to be dispatched from Monday. Just had a notification from PayPal pop up saying they've taken £22.50 out of my account which would be the cost of one strap and postage, so I'm assuming for some reason the other strap won't be arriving but I'm yet to receive an email saying it's been dispatched and the same on my cex account it doesn't say anything about it either.

Happened to anyone else?

Edit: just got an email saying they couldn't send me the other strap. Bit annoyed as that was the grade A strap I wanted and it saved me on postage getting 2 straps at the same time.

Jealous :(

Any luck with the blue band?

Nope nothing, I finally got a reply last night from CEX saying they are going to contact the store that shipped it.

The black leather loop is very nice, undecided if I actually want to keep it though.. It's not as comfy as the sport bands.

I take it when buying online you're actually buying it from whatever shop has it and not a warehouse of theirs?

Reason being as I'm guessing they had sold the brown leather loop I ordered in the shop before getting a chance to put it aside I'm guessing.

Can't say I've worn the leather loop for any longer than just trying it on last night, feels fairly comfortable to me. But I think you're right I don't think you can beat the comfortability of the sports bands.

That's correct, the online stock is just what shops have in stock. It is possible they sold your strap before realising you had ordered it online. As far as I know CEX don't have warehouses.

Hmm I do like the look and it is nice leather.. Could be my "going out" strap and my sport can be fitness/relaxing at home band.

Makes sense now, quite annoying really as I was looking forward to see if it was a new band or not.

I think that's my plan to be honest, although I'm probably going to sound like a right girl now but depending on my outfit is what band will get best with it

Stainless steel watch + black leather strap is a pretty universal combo as far as matching to outfits imo. Obviously not true for every outfit though lol.

Very true, can't find myself to cough up the funds though. If I'm honest I'm happy with the sport bands and leather loop. Until they make a black Milanese loop I'll stick with them I think.

None are knock offs. Unless they particular staff member has been hiding under a stone all items are checked throughly. There are ways to determine that the straps are genuine compared to knock offs.

Mine arrived today.
I ordered a Medium Grade A Black leather Loop on their US website on Friday 15th.

I had no email or could not see the shipping getting update, so I sent them a message (on their very poor website) on Tuesday 19th in the late evening.

Amazingly the shipping suddenly got updated a few hours later (USPS) and I could track it.

So I knew it would arrive today or tmrw. But the post office got it out for delivery today.
I then get an email from CeX support giving me an update to my email that I had sent them on Tuesday that I would be getting the package today (if people here are looking for a support email it is: care at webuy dot com). So a slow customer support response.

Anyway the mailman delivered. The package looked like it came from a small eBay seller with a lower cost envelope and a taped on printed shipping label.
Inside there was very light small amount of bubble wrap, and the proper solid strap case. (The case itself was dirty and scratched on the outside, also no cardboard box), but inside I knew right away that it was the genuine strap, it's size and color were correct, and it had its original plastic protection on it (so never wore before).

Overall they delivered ok, price was good (but not amazing). I would still be hesitant on ordering from them again or in recommending to others at least on the US side.
It is typically a red flag when a website does not have a phone number or a limited way to contact them.

Anyway a few pics:

Very nice, practically A grade since it was unused, I think I was very lucky to get a fully sealed one.
