Also, where on earth do they come from if they're brand new and still in the box, unopened?

Not too sure....Maybe they were originally bought for someone but they were the wrong size or they didn't like it but wasn't able to return it to the Apple Store.

I'm not complaining though :p I'll definitely be going back to CEX to get more bands from them in the future and for the next gen/s too.

Returned the grade C strap with no problems, asked what was wrong and just said I don't want it. Refund went through straight away it seems.

Having second thought with the grade B black leather loop. Seems like the previous owner was a heavy smoker and I just can't shift the smell. Any ideas before I decide to return it?

What's the quality like for a grade B? Just waiting for a Grade B midnight blue to turn up.

Don't get me wrong it's fine and looks pretty much brand new. Just the smell has put me off it a lot and it bothers me quite a bit. The stone one that was completely worn away didn't smell at all.

I know what you mean what about baby wipes to clean the leather?

I just ordered 3 different colored modern buckles straps for the 38mm version. Excited to see how they look. They are rated A.

My last order was for my own 42 SS watch. A black classic buckle, a brown leather loop and a navy sports band. The classic buckle and leather loop still had the plastic wraps on the straps but unfortunately I ordered the wrong size for the leather loop.
The navy sports band was one from the gold sports watch and missed the second size strap you usually get included. And it looked dirty although it was rated as A.
The leather loop had the box included. None of the other two had.

Well I got a reply from CEX about my missing blue sport band, basically replacement or refund. I asked for refund as it is never in stock, hopefully I will get it soon.

Annoyed again.....

The light brown leather loop strap I ordered, well they've cancelled it again

Just checked up on there and it's on the site again so I'm trying one last time. What's annoyed me even more is they've boosted the price of it from £32 to £38.

Probably why they cancelled it so you could pay the extra £5 lol. Well I have been told I will be getting refunded for my missing sport band.

You're probably right to be honest. I got an email with nothing on it at all so I decided to check my cex account and in my orders it says cancelled. If this one doesn't turn up then I'll just give up.

On another note I see a blue leather loop grade A in large pop up on there.

I think I am done with CEX now, I am considering testing out the metal link and Milanese loop from Moko, I wasn't a fan of their sport bands though..

How long does CEX usually take to arrive? I have not heard anything from USPS since 1-20 when it said Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS... Should I worry yet? If not, when is it time to worry?

I would suggest wait for a week. I ordered on 01/12 and I received the email from CEX on 01/12 about Pre-Shipment Info sent to USPS. I finally got the band delivered on 01/19. I hope you will have the package from them in next 2-3 days.

I had to wait 2 weeks until they even replied to me, then it took about 5 days to get them to agree to a refund for a missing item.

For my missing strap part, it's taken a week and a half for them to tell me they're going to ask the store what happened. No new update yet.

What made me laugh is, I left a review on trust pilot yesterday and within an hour or so they replied back with a long reply. yet they struggle to reply to customer complaints through their own site.

They said the same BS to me, took 3 days to contact the store then contact me again.

Internet complaints go unnoticed, complaints on another website are for all to see.

The funny thing was 2 days before their non reply I got the trust pilot review invite. Didn't bother - yet.

So I found this thread not realising CEX would sell the straps. I want a Saddle Brown Classic Buckle but they didn't have any in stock so i settled for a Brown Modern Buckle.

It was grade A and only £45, not bad considering they're £209 retail. Anyway, I took the plunge as it said there were 9 in stock. It was shipped on Friday and turned up today. I'm amazed, the cardboard box was open and pretty banged up but the strap was in it's plastic hard case, still with all the wrapper on. Perfect condition.

Really happy with that but after seeing a lot of other posters on here, I'm concerned that I wouldn't have the same luck again!

Honestly it's completely hit and miss. The first time I ordered 2 sports bands and they came the next day, not brand new but hardly used. Ordered a few other straps with no issues but keep getting my ordered cancelled for a certain strap now.

ah that is partially why i ordered a strap that had a few in stock, i figured there would be a bigger chance i'd manage to get hold of one.

I think i'll use their in store checker from now on and just try my luck instead of online ordering. I must admit, i've been on the edge of my seat waiting for CEX to cancel or for it to not turn up!

Remember the items are sent by their stores, rather than a warehouse. I've noticed that when there's only 1 or 2 items in stock there's a chance that they will cancel the order if the store is unable to find the item.

According a member of staff in the Watford store, sometimes the delay is caused by lack of staff unable to pack your order.
