has anyone else noticed this?

Yesterday my battery was at 41% on the Plus by 4pm.. this phone has never reached 50% at that time unless I was on it the whole time.

My phone right now is at 81% and it’s been used for only 20 min.

My phone usually at this time is at 95-96%.

I have not had any change in battery life, in use or standby, since the update to iOS 11.0 and 11.0.1.

battery issues you say?

iPhone 7+ and the batt drain is terrible! Very light use and by the time I leave the office the phone is at anything between 10-20%. Before it would be 30-40% as I always check because I stream music to my helmet on my commute home. Its awful

Disappointed iPhone 7 user here, lost around 20% of battery performance since the upgrade. Is it worth doing a clean install? I'm seriously considering downgrading to 10.3.3

Slightly worse battery life on iPhone 7, significantly on iPhone 6S Plus. Both clean installs last week and upgraded to 11.0.1. iPhone 7 did 2% drop overnight without any use, which finally seems okay to me. I will see what happens during the day.

(iPhone 7 plus) Did the OTA update first and had serious battery problems (SOT down from 5+ Hours to 3- hours) Did a hard reset and didn't use a backup, reinstalled all apps from the App Store. Didn't help. Installed IOS 11.01 again using iTunes. Didn't help. Example: battery lost 2-3% overnight which is fine. When i started using my iPhone the next day battery went down to 75% within half an hour just by using Safari for 25 minutes and a 5 minutes WhatsApp

Downgraded to 10.3.3 and everything is fine now. SOT up to 5+ hours again and all the other bugs are gone too (screen sometimes not responding, apps crashing).

Thanks for your input. If a clean install from iTunes with no backup restore doesn't help, nothing else will. That's disappointing coming from Apple and the number of betas prior GM. Back to 10.3.3 before they stop signing it :(

My IP7+ was having problem with the battery and the standby and usage time was the same and I had to charge 2 times a day. I couldn't stand it anymore and I decided to download the 11.0.1 IPSW to restore. I was on 11.1 beta 1 btw.

Initially, the shift restore won't work and it said my phone cannot be restored and it went to the screen showing the cable connected to ITunes logo. It was there until some time until it prompted to try upgrade instead if restore failed. I tried that and the phone got upgraded back to 11.0.1 finally. And I setup my phone as new and glad to report that battery is back to normal today. After a full charge yesterday at around 10pm, as of now 452pm, it is at 72%.

I still don't know what caused the problem initially but an update seems to have recovered it. Now, I've downloaded back the 11.1 beta 1 and thinking whether to press the Install button to get back to the beta.

My usage times don’t add up. I just used my phone non stop for 5 hours today, but the usage time says 3 hours and 20 minutes.

It’s as if it’s not calculating the screen on time I’ve noticed this on iOS 10.3.3 as well. I thought it was a bug and updated to iOS 11. Still the same!

sorry for the 90%+ that have no problem, as always every year. so its the mostly silent (no reason to complain) vs the few who scream any & everything, silent vs noise, well obviously the noise looks huge when its up against nothing..

yup android has no battery issues or any issues period, yup blackberry has no issues, yup windows phone has no issues, yup yup its always & only apple. wow people...

Me on my iPhone 7 Plus yesterday... I don’t know what to think

my ipad air 2 takes ages to charge then loses power fast

my iphone 6 has always had poor battery life but ios11 seems to have made that worse too

battery life seems something apple don't seem to care about in their crazy slim fetish

There’s a chance the battery life is excellent but it’s just the reading that’s off. I’ve been at 1% for four hours (0330 to 0730) after it dropped 60% through the night.

You could be right, however my iPhone powered down after reaching 0% .... after 2:50 hours SOT.

Anyone knows what is causing the App Store to be having high background usage? Nothing is turned on for this including location and auto updates.

It’s because the battery gauge is not calibrated. Use it until it turns off and charge it back up to 100%.
