Wasn't having any battery problems at all, even after loading up my packages. But something feels peculiar after updating the recent SBsettings and Activator updates just today.

Took phone off charge at 100% at 7am. Go about regular email check. About to go to work at 8:50am... 61%

sigh...gotta do the process of elimination..:(

I noticed a slight (very slight) drain after installing zephyr. But before that install (with only tetherme and NCSettings installed) battery life was excellent (same, if not better than before jailbreak).

Could you describe how you noticed a slight (very slight) battery drain?

I'm not being sarcastic, I'd like to know.

I've noticed heavier usage when playing games or using apps, NOT in standby. I played the cave level on Hill Climb and after 10 minutes i went from 87% to 73% battery life. Just in the time it took cydia to refresh, i lost another 3%. I don't know if it's a tweak or what since it only happens when actively using the phone.

Tweaks are as follows:
Afterhours-hd sbsettings
appcent
bulletin
bytafont
- Burst my bubble font
Copic
Data usage monitor
E is for Ezra winterboard theme
five icon dock
foldercloser
iFile
Infinitefolders
Insomnia
- Toggle for insomnia
Ipsum
Lockdown Pro
Mobile Terminal
No page dots
nocameragrabber
openssh
sbsettings
springtomize 2
tapunlock
Winterboard
3g Unrestrictor

Just based on casual observation. I used to lose 1% overnight on 6.0.1, and the phone could go for 2 days and 10hrs+ of usage.

Now, I am losing 5-8% overnight, and am getting under 20 hours (extrapolated).

I'll give it another couple of days and a calibration before I come to any conclusions.

I'm facing a battery issue too it seems... Dramatic loss... I don't have many tweaks... Below is the list... Springtomize and winterboard are not seen in the screenshot... And even from these haptic pro and color keyboard are set to off... And I am not using any themes currently...

Edit: I have also done a fresh reinstall and restore... But it doesn't seem to have helped...

I had the same problem with a smaller amount of tweaks installed. I was using an iPhone 5 with the most recent JB. I has serious battery drainage. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1540070/

I know it is a huge hassle but I'm sure you're gonna have to restore and NOT restore from backup.
I restored fresh and DID NOT restore from a previous back up. I just started all over again. Now my battery seems just fine, and I have the same tweaks + more installed.

Hmmm... Ill give it a try... Not even a restore from icloud right...? Set up as a new phone you mean...

You've got 4 tweaks that can be done by Springtomize

Good catch, I didn't mean to include springtomize in the list actually. I had just downloaded it and hadn't enabled it, I just saw it on the list and put it down without thinking.

My battery life has been terrible ever since upgrading to iOS 6.1, I tried restoring as new, didn't help at all, and my battery hasn't gotten any worse since jailbreaking.

The problem here is with Apple, not the jailbreak, at least for me.

I'm still using the jailbreak and getting less battery. Not much, but maybe 2 hours different.

I was just stating that I got an increase from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 6.1, could have been because I had Winterboard installed on iOS 5.1.1 and just don't care about themes anymore.

I have fine tuned my iPhone 4 now. I have gotten rid of some of the tweaks. I have got rid of SBSettings and using Auxo which does most of the things I want to do along with Activator.

It seems better about 10% drop per hour of continued use. I will keep and eye on it and sees how it goes. I think 10% per hour drop is just about right.

Hi everyone, I had to join this forum just to get my 2 cents in...

I'm not going to get into the details other than I build and fix all my own computers and I'm somewhat versed in technology. That being said, I Jailbroke both my iPhone 5 & my wife's iPhone 4, both running iOS 6.1. The battery drain was terrible on both phones after the Jailbreak! I went from 30-35hrs of medium to heavy use to less than a third of that! After the Jailbreak I would take it off the charger in the morning and I would be hard pressed to get through the day without needing a charge. NovemberWhiskey is right on the money with a 5-8% drain over night! I did a lot of testing and it appears the jailbreak its self is the culprit and not any one tweak or app. I have restored both our phones back to there original state and they are both back to very acceptable battery life. As I type this my phone has been off the charger for 8hrs with average use and I'm only down to 93%!

I'm a fan of Jailbreaking but there is no doubt in my mind that Jailbreaking iOS 6.1 hits your battery hard!

My personal experience with this jailbreak on my iPhone 5 has been the complete opposite, with no material impact on my battery. I've been jailbreaking my iPhones for a few years now, and this one has been the best so far, for me, in terms of stability and cpu utilization.

Did you do a clean restore of your phones to iOS 6.1 on iTunes, before installing the jailbreak?

Yeah... themes, animated backgrounds, and other types of eye candy is always a source for that battery-sucking sound. ;-)

If you're on cydia a lot it really hammers the battery. See how the battery is for a day with out cydia. It's harder than you think. :)
That's the most misinformed thing I've ever heard.

Cydia is just an app store.
A browser for packages, if you will.

It's what you install FROM cydia that can hurt your battery.

Jailbreaking itself does NOTHING to your battery. It's about the TWEAKS.

Seriously, Winterboard themes drain battery? I've got Ayecon theme running on Winterboard and have a major battery drain on my iPad 3. Could this be the culprit?

I always assumed that themes just load upon respring and then go pretty much dormant.

Next you're gonna say that browsing doesn't hit the battery hard either right?

Sheesh.

Well *something* is definitely causing excessive battery drain on my jailbroken 4S on 6.1.1 using evasi0n 1.3.

Lots of conflicting reports in this thread but also many variables. How many experiencing poor battery performance(not just some vague slight drop) are on a 4S AND use an Exchange mail account? I have to use Exchange for work and there have been issues reported with that.

All I really know at this point is that when I was jailbroken on 5.1.1 my phone would easily last the entire day with at least moderate usage, including some gaming. Now on 6.1.1. with same exact usage, the phone will last about 3 hours. That's pretty damn dramatic and it is not because I am just on cydia more. This is a side by side comparison of my average daily usage.

I'm not sure I could bear doing a total clean restore. I just have so many contacts and calender stuff and apps to try and rebuild where I am at now.

Yes, I did a clean install and set up as new phone and did nothing but the jailbreak, no tweaks or apps. The battery on my 5 was hit hard as well as my wife's 4. I gave it benefit of the doubt and went back and forth with the jailbreak starting from scratch 3 times! After all I have done and the fact that it is a problem on both my 5 and 4 on top of all the others having this issue, I am convinced that jailbreaking hits your battery extremely hard! Those of you that have no problems either have very special phones or you love your jailbreak so much you just cant admit there's a problem and that is why I decided to chime in! The evidence presented in my court room says the jailbreak is guilty!

Isn't there a tweak we can download that will show which apps or processes are using the most battery power, like on Android?

I don't seem to be making any friends here but like I said, it appears to be the jailbreak its self and not any one app or tweak!

I'm just trying to be as honest as I can in hopes of helping others...

I haven't found the source yet, I left my IPhone 5 on idle all night last night, at it was 90% before I went to bed, and 10 hours later it was at 20% for no particular reason and I did not use it in my sleep. I havent had anytime to test all the tweaks that I had installed. But I know it isnt Barrel, Intelliscreen X, BiteSMS, F.lux, Activator, and IPhone clock hide. Then this morning i managed to recharge it to 40% and then after an hour the phone died on me. I had to reinstall iOS 6.1 and im going to try it tonight to see if it is actually the battery problem or of the tweaks or jailbreak itself. Because going through 70% percent of battery on idle is ridiculous and I have never had this happen to me before.

Hmm... something is definitely not right with your installs. To give you contrary evidence, I am experiencing less than 1% battery drain per hour when the device isn't actively used, which is on par with what I had with the stock iOS. For example, I went to bed with 99% battery last night, and woke up 8 hours later to 97% battery life.

And that's with these tweaks currently installed:
AdBlocker
AdBlockerNetworks
Auxo
CleverPin
DietBulletin
Dimmer
FullForce
MapsOpener
MxTube
Nitrous
Not-So-Smart
NowNow
PandoraSkips
SpringFlash
Springtomize 2
SwipeSelection
UnrestrictPremium
VolumeStep
xCon
YFiSelect 5.0+

I never run any eye candy themes or other battery-sucking tweaks, and have been rock solid since the initial install.

So you say you've installed evasi0n on fully restored iPhones. Hmm... did you install from a PC, Mac, or Linux box? Assume you installed version 1.2 or later?

The Exchange bug can cause serious CPU and battery-sucking issues, due to major ping-pong traffic on the network for those who modify their calendar via their iPhone or iPad. The solution is normally two fold for businesses (one-half requires your IT to modify settings on their Exchange servers, and the other half requires you to turn off calendaring on your account, wait 10 seconds to cease traffic, and then re-enable calendaring for your account). Until the bug is fixed in Apple's iOS 6.1.2 maintenance release next week, only use your calendar on your device in read-only mode (don't modify calendar entries).
