Question for those who own the BFP - do both channels connect to your device every time when taken out of the case? Any charging issues?

My main bugbear with the PBP are that more often then not only one side connects and I then have to reseat it, close the case, wait a few seconds and then try again. Might sound like much but it means I can't just grab them out of the case and go.
I can't answer for the BFP but I have this issue all the time with my Airpods 2. So much so that since they out of warranty I bought the APP. Unfortunately at the time I panicked and saw the APP on sale, the BFP were not available in Thailand. Now they are and I really wish I would have waited as I find the APP uncomfortable and the right pod pops out regularly (yes I have tried all three silicone tips). The look and fit of the BFP really appeal to me. On my AP2 Thai Apple replaced both AirPods and charging case to correct my charging issues over two months of complaints. I went back to USA for 4 months and they were fine the whole time. I came back to Thailand and now they are unreliable again. Only thing I can think of is the humidity is hard on them.

I pulled the trigger on a pair of BFP today, delivery on Saturday. I am starting to travel again for work now and I really like spatial audio and headtracking but the PBP don’t have that. I do love my PBP so it will be interesting to see how I get on with these.

So got the BFP today and my view is they are very good. In short, best Apple IEM’s available right now.

I got them to replace my PBP but I do have access to APP (the wife’s). So I primarily compared them against the PBP. Obviously, the BFP have more features - ANC/SA with Head Tracking. Sound wise I find the BFP have fuller lows, I hear deeper bass against both the APP/PBP, significantly so, not over powering. The mids are comparable to the APP with very good detail (and better than the PBP) the highs are the same (to my ears) across all 3. I was expecting them to be the same as the APP but was pleasantly surprised.

Watched some film with them in and the SA is exactly like the APP - so very good, I love SA when watching my IPP.

Very comfortable to wear, I have not been for a run in them yet but they feel like they will stay in my ears. The PBP never ever come lose, APP do sometimes feel like they could come lose but do not.

When buying them I thought I would probably keep the PBP for running but I see no reason to now. These BFP are my new favourites.

Thanks for those comments; I am still on the fence with the APP. I find them uncomfortable and heavy.I am very much considering to purchase the BFP and resell my APP at a loss. I have had Powerbeats wireless 2 and 3, after use at the gym the wired controller failed on both models and I never really cared for the over ear clips so the PBP are not for me. What color did you order? I'm thinking sage grey...

I went for the black option, my phone is black, my iPad is black, my watch is black but most of all my PBP are black and I was hoping if I went black for the BFP the Dream Crusher (wife) would not notice I had new headphones and start moaning!!

I like the APP, just the battery is just a tad too short for me and I have never been confident they will not fall out while running.

Going to be interesting to see how Apple react with the APP2.

I have a serious question for you. I notice a lot of wife talk prohibiting simple purchases in these forums. Is it really that bad? does getting married mean the wife is now the mommy and you need to try to get away with everything or need permission? Again, this is a serious question from a single guy. what is the dark reality of being married and feeling secure with your decisions as to how your money and time are spent? thanks in advance

It’s no longer your money… or your time. It’s both of yours and she will want a very good say in how both are spent!

Get married… then come back to us in 10 years time and tell us how your sole decisions are going.

Ouch. I’m 39, take care of myself and am still picking up 22 year old hotties. My friends who live with women have to explain themselves if they want to go out of the house. I can’t imagine explaining myself to someone like I’m living with mom. So far being single in LA is fantastic but what’s keeping me doing the casual life are my friends and the stuff they deal with. I’m just not going to submit to anyone. I’m the dominant one and even if I got married I’d set that standard. No way in hell am I going to try sneaking airpod purchases.

Outside of groceries and bills, my wife and I consult/talk/inform about pretty much any purchase over $100. “I’d like to buy a new pair of earbuds” … “I need a new pair of runners” … “I want a new jacket” … “I need to spend a couple hundred dollars on work uniforms”

It prevents surprises, prevents arguments and shows respect of the other person and our joint finances. And sometimes the conversation ends up in the item not being purchased once the motives and desires are thought through.

For instance, I told my wife I wanted to buy the BFP when they were released in Canada and she was fine with that. When they were released, I decided not to as I was happy with my BSBs and didn’t *need* another pair of earbuds. She told me I could still get them if I wanted and I declined.

We have been happily married for 32 years.

Can someone tell me how quiet these get? I like to listen to podcast while I fall asleep so I am hoping the lowest volume setting is very low.

I really love these headphones. The best ones that I have ever owned
Just bought these in black. I am impressed. Fit perfectly. I was going to buy The Air pods Pro, but a couple of people told me they lost theirs, my niece lost one of hers in the toilet, being retired and on a limited budget, I recently bought the Echo buds 2nd gen for 40 bucks. They are ok, but they make my ears sweaty. The Echo buds sound ok but having to fiddle with all the settings in the Alexa app to get them to work. I listen to a lot of Jazz vocals, and the Beats Fit Pro are in another league for clarity and separation. I'll keep the Echo buds for backup.

That sucks.

lol.

I can buy whatever I want (if it's over thousands of dollars sure) and I'm married.

Got me some BFP with no one needed to ask.

Some wives are just an*l about being mommy and account for everything. Not this household.

Hello Everyone. I ordered the black ones and arrive today. I love my APPs but is impossible to keep them sealed if i´m moving (walking, running or speaking). Sometimes they fall from my ears, most of the time I got the feeling they loose the seal so the bass and quality of the sound get worst.

I hope they sound as good as my APPs. I don´t mind about the missing wireless charge if the rest of the APPs features are there. I will tell you my first impressions

The black and purple ones were on sale at Amazon Canada this week for $50-ish off, so I decided to pull the trigger on the black ones.

My BFPs arrived tonight and based on a few minutes of music listening these are the best earbuds I have ever owned.

EDIT TO ADD: Like, seriously, these sound terrific. They stay very well in my ears (and I usually have issues keeping a right bud in because I have a weird ear canal entry shape) and aren't uncomfortable to wear based on my 30 minutes of exercise this morning. I'm super impressed.

I have had my BFP now for a week, trying to sell the APP now. The BFP fit like a glove, I couldn't keep the APP in my right ear canal for nothing, no matter what tip I tried. Sound is as good or better due to proper fit. I have the Sage Grey and think the look is awesome. I was a bit surprised that for their size, they are still bit heavy. It took me awhile to find the comfort fit, you need to place them with the ear clip forward and then twist back for a perfect fit and comfort. The case looks to me a lot larger than it needs to be, lot's of wasted space unless it is all battery. Wow the magnet is really strong in securing the buds. Hope I don't have the charging issues as I have had with my AP2.

I had the same issue as you, a very narrow right ear canal, the APP were impossible for me to use. The BFP fits great even with the medium tips.

I'm hoping more case covers come out for these. I was looking for a woven type material, but I couldn't find one. I picked up a cheap black silicone one, but had to cut a notch on them because the LED light was not alingned properly.

Yeah, I had to move to the bigger tip in my right ear on my BSBs, but for now sticking with the medium tip in the BFBs and we'll see how that goes.

So I needed to replace my AirPod Pros as one was consistently refusing to charge and then they were lost. I’m sure they’ll turn up somewhere but as I am getting back to travelling I needed a set. So, after much research including Apple, Sony, Jabra, Sennheiser and Bose I decided to order the Beats Fit Pro, in black. They arrived yesterday. My initial impressions are very positive:

- Fit is much better for me that the APP, which often fell out. The BFP feels secure and comfortable, a major win.
- I prefer the sound signature of the BFP, could be the better fit, I don’t know. But I like it.
- There is nothing wrong with the case. Nothing at all. Much ado about nothing. Not bothered about wireless charging.
- Love that these also have the seamless iOS integration, spatial audio etc.

Very happy with my purchase. I’m currently testing the medium and large tips for the best fit, both are fine but I’m sure I’ll settle on one eventually. Both stay in my ear and sound good, so that’s already better than the APP for me.

Watching Slow Horses with my BFPs and the spatial audio is pretty cool. Impressed.

The charging case and five-minute charge is very nice. I rarely forget to put them back in the case but I did last week. I left them in the console of my car. I put them in the case, walked to the locker room of my gym and then took them out and they had a strong charge. These are still my goto headsets for working out. I leave a set of Jaybirds X3s in my bag in case I forget to put the BFPs in my gym bag but that doesn't happen very often.

I've had mine about 3 months now. Best I've ever owned....by far. I just got back from the UK and just cannot believe how loud the noise we've been listening to on aircraft over the years. Noise cancelling is unreal.
I heard all the complains about the case and bought one off Amazon for like, $12, beforehand. Not really needed IMO.
The only issue I've had was the right bud not making contact in the case and failing to charge. It just happened to be the day I dropped it in the toilet so I thought it was dead. Once seated correctly it charged to about 30% in mere minutes so I was good to go. I check now when I charge now to see that both are. The sound on them is tremendous and I can't believe the bass they can output. I also went back to some Comply ear tips I had kicking around because I wasn't wild about the ones that came with them. However, there is a bit of a learning curve around them. I was always pausing them 'til I figured out where you could touch them if trying to alter the fit a bit, as well as knocking them out of my ears pulling hoodies on or adjusting masks. You learn what works. After all the flying I'm sorry we didn't get a pair for my wife before we left. Noise cancelling works if they are in your ears. You don't need to be listening to music or whatever. Great if you want to sleep and can't do it with music playing. Not an issue with me. I can nod off and sleep through anything. I highly recommend them. S
