I'll be happy to have any AIM app with Push out. I'd actually prefer the real AIM app, but BeeJive would be good too. Although, $10 for an IM app seems a bit much.

BeeJive is amazing, and totally worth every penny. You do notice that the only people complaining about the price are those who don't have it? Nobody who actually spent the money regrets it, because it is a quality product.

I bought Beejive the day it came out for $15.99, not the $9.99 they charge now, and I think the price at one point on sale went to $5.99 if I am mistaking..

Even at $15.99 it is an incredible app. Well worth the price. Its even gotten much better since the initial release. Beejive is always updating it giving it new features. I have Beejive, I have AIM (free) and I also have IM+ ( which I got when it was on sale for $2.99) and I even tried out ParlingoPhone when it was avail ( which it is not anymore) and Beejive beats all hands down. AIM has come a long way from the initial version. IM+ has as wel, but even with all the other program upgdeates. Beejive is in a class by themselves.

I paid the full original price as well and couldn't be happier. Beejive is just so good. It's better than many of the Apple apps. It is dying for push notifications, Apple need to hurry up!

Can't wait for this. I paid the full price and couldn't be happier. When it has push updates it will be nearly perfect! Hurry up and release it.

I'm hoping as well that beejiveim had some sort of push notification throttle system like they did with push via email in 2.x

I have few friends who when asked a simple question like "how are you?" reply like this.

"hi" <send>
"LOL" <send>
"hahaha" <send>
"miss me?" <send>
"LOL" <send>
...
idiots!

On a PC you're not going to bother but on a mobile device like the iphone, u do not want 6 messages coming in one short.

It would be great if other you get one message from person x, it stops sending you further updates from the same person.

Should I buy beejive right now at $9.99 and then free update to 3.0 or just wait until 3.0 releases. I am nervous 3.0 will release at 15.99 or whatever the higher price is

Well if it's on sale now then you might as well buy it if you intend to get it eventually. The upgrade to 3.0 will be free anyway. You won't be disappointed, I can't sing the praises of this app enough. There is a lot of crap on the app store, but Beejive is in a class of it's own. Very few apps equal or better Apple's own, but Beejive and Tweetie are two that do and are indispensable to me.

Agreed. Beejive is phenomenal.

I agree with others. Beejive is great and I expect more greatness with push.

I suspect they will ultimately handle it better than most. I have used a lot of the IM apps and beejive is the only one I recommend to people. I don't care if they want a free app, beejive is always the answer.

I have to admit, i paid full price for this app, but it is the only app that I go back to again and again.

Cant wait for push. When i was still using MobileMe this was a good implementation of getting updates, but proper push will be better, just like texts but free! (after you buy beejive that is)

In my opinion, Apple is focusing on the release of their annual cash cow. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see more apps approved until Monday, once the flurry is over and the stores run out of inventory.

Apple is a huge company. You mean to tell me that they can't handle releasing an iPhone and approving some IM apps at the same time?

I love Apple as much as the next guy, but this blind defending of them has to stop.

I have had about 10 updates to apps already. all of the ones i have had do not have push functionality, but then they wouldnt.

Dont think its so much apple not updating, just there is a bit of a long queue maybe???

Am i the only one who gets into de App Store every 5 minutes to see if Beejive updated their app?

I know i do!

As a developer myself I understand their concerns with rolling this out in a controlled manner (apps that are a lot less reliant on the push notifications first to kind of ease the load onto the servers), but if they are going to crash they are going to crash, period. They should just release this already and be prepared to cover their hind sides if it kills their servers...'

I can think of no other reason they are delaying the release of push IM apps.

What are the odds that all the apps released so far that have no push notifications are just by chance? They did heavy volume testing of AIM last week, yet three days after the world wide launch, we have not seen it. They did release AP News, but I've only received two updates from it in three days.

Something isn't right. I don't know if the heavy volume testing went badly or what, but something is holding up the process. The ones we do have out hardly use the service at all. BeeJive, AIM, Yahoo, IM+ are all in waiting.

You're definitely not the only one! Thing is, Beejive (and other IM apps) are the ones to benefit most from 3.0 and it's the one I really want to see get an update. It's worse knowing that Beejive submitted the update over a week ago to Apple now! We KNOW the update is sitting with Apple...

i have been using text free and i see to have no problems with the pus notifications with that app

Tap Tap Revenge got a update, has push. I dont have it as i removed it from my phone

I acknowledged that some have been, but only ones that hardly use the feature at all. I doubt Tap Tap Revenge would just push notifications as often as BeeJive or AIM or ESPN or Facebook...

Too many fart apps in the front of the line. With push notifications. "You have just made a fart sound, you are soooo funny!"

Seriously, Apple needs to get its head out of its behind and get to approving and uploading these important apps. I realize you guys have been busy with the iPhone 3GS and all, but come on. And don't give me the excuse of not enough people to do the job, there are a ton of qualified unemployed people who would jump at the chance to work anywhere, let alone for Apple. Apple screws the pooch more than SiriusXM, and thats a serious charge!

Just curious. What are some of the features you like the most? I'm just trying to see if it's going to be worth it to me to buy it. Can you send pictures?
