Check your battery usage chart and see what is running when you see the 4-5% battery drop. You won’t know if it the AdBlock Plus but it will show Safari consuming the battery. You would need to uninstall AdBlock Plus and do a comparison between when you had it installed and see if the battery drain stops. Although, it is normal to have some battery drain in standby. Is it possible that AdBlock Plus causes overnight battery drain? My phones seems to be losing about 4-5% every night..

I would try a Reset All Settings next.I have checked that already, I have 0 apps or anything shown below the graph, at the time I was asleep. I can only see how the battery slowly dropped by 1% through the night. It doesn't add up.. what could be the culprit?
I'm trying to avoid that as long as possible ? You think waiting for 15.2 would also be an option?I would try a Reset All Settings next.
I use AdGuard installed systemwise ( as an app in System ) and no ads throughout my OS. Since 2018,
He's probably using a VPN systemwide. I would never use that, but each people value their privacy differently.Could you explain how you did this?
The most drain drain I see is maybe 2% to 3%. Some battery drain in standby will be normal. If you disable the AdBlock Plus while you are in standby, what do you see for battery drain? So non of you guys noticed any overnight battery drain?![]()
The easiest way to do that is to sign up for a contributor. Upgrade your account. You won’t see any more ads from MacRumors.Ive been using Wipr and love that I get no ads on YouTube.com in Safari, but still get ads in the YT app.
I have Wipr Extra turned on.
I'm enjoying Wipr, however sadly for whatever reason am getting ads when visiting MacRumors still.
Weird, I’m using Wipr and I’m not getting any ad on any website. And the Wipr Extra extensión, I’ve limited it only to YouTube dot com.Ive been using Wipr and love that I get no ads on YouTube.com in Safari, but still get ads in the YT app.

Yeah, this seems like an awesome solution as well, if you really enjoy the site and you can afford it, it’s a great way to show your appreciation. I will probably become a contributor when I get more economical stability (I don’t want to get into details)The easiest way to do that is to sign up for a contributor. Upgrade your account. Try the Safari extension in touchtubeHello everyone. I'm using AdGuard on my iPhone. I'm really tired however of videos automatically playing on both the NYPost and NY DailyNews mobile websites. I have 'auto-play video previews' in the Motion settings disabled. I would really appreciate any suggestions. This drives me crazy.
Could we get a link for this please?Try the Safari extension in touchtube
A few weeks (months?) ago YouTube (?) made some kind of change, and now videos embedded in websites play in both Safari itself as well as my RSS reader. It’s infuriating. AdGuard doesn’t help with this issue, as you mentioned.Hello everyone. I'm using AdGuard on my iPhone. If the issue @blairh is having is involving embedded YouTbe videos, an app called Vinegar could solve it. It’s just $2. But please, don’t spread too much the voice, otherwise the big G will counteract it and will render it useless, just like what happened when there was a technique to play YouTbe videos on the background, and after several articles on MacRumors explaining how to exploit that, the big G adressed the issue and was no longer useful.A few weeks (months?) ago YouTube (?) made some kind of change, and now videos embedded in websites play in both Safari itself as well as my RSS reader. They are not YouTube videos.Try the Safari extension in touchtube
That’s very true, a lot of cat and mouse here. Someone else recommended that app last week, I guess I should take a look at it ?If the issue @blairh is having is involving embedded YouTbe videos, an app called Vinegar could solve it. That app is great for playing YouTbe without the annoyances of YT, but seriously, don’t talk too much of it because it won’t last too much.
@EastHillWill (whispers: it's the best, please keep it quiet)That’s very true, a lot of cat and mouse here. Someone else recommended that app last week, I guess I should take a look at it ?
