My top, most if not all already mentioned I think:

BiteSMS (use this the most of any app)
Activator
Remove Background - guess since I use to have 3GS never stopped using this :)
Pandora skip
Unrestrictor
MyWi (don't really use it anymore since I hear ATT will catch you but I use it maybe once a month for very little usage)

Use to use these but no longer since I hear it eat battery on 5.1.1
Infinitifolders
PhotoAlbums+

And cannot live without SBSettings.

Instelliscreen X

It is literally the only MUST HAVE for me anymore (I unclude Messages+ since it is included with the package). Everything else is just icing.

Another one I use is AnyAttach (multiple attachments, such as pictures, in emails). It's one of those tweaks that I am not using every day, but it sure is nice to be able to attach multiple pics to one email. Still don't understand why this isn;t a native feature.

IntellisceenX
BiteSMS
Action Menu (Clipboard with Favorites)
Bolt
Five Icon Dock
Folder Closer
Folder Enhancer
NoNewsIsGoodNews

SBSettings
BiteSMS
3G Unrestrictor 5
TetherMe
Springtomize 2
Custom NC Background
NoNewsIsGoodNews
DoNotDisturb
Five Icon Switcher
f.lux
iFile
Signal
SMS2Mail
AptBackup

FINALLY. Someone who uses TetherMe instead of MyWi. MyWi is great, but overpriced (or just overengineered) and TetherMe hides your APN (or alters it) so that it looks like all the data is being used by the phone, not a tethered device. Hardly ever use it, but awesome when I do need it.

And thanks to who posted SNES9X. Had no idea it was available, I am so happy now.

Unfold is fun, but it's been consistently locking up ever since the update the other day.

DeepEnd is fun to play around with, though I'm sure it's a battery hog. Makes your background shift with the phone's orientation so it looks 3D. You'll need a 4 or 4S to use it.

I really like OpenNotifier. It simply puts icons in your statusbar for unread emails, messages, missed calls, or any app that displays badges. Handy.

This can be done without an additional tweak. You have to initiate it thru your photo album instead of Mail. (Share icon on upper right>select multiple photos>Share>Email)

1st time jailbreaker here thanks to all the friendly people here!

Activator
Barrel
biteSMS
FolderEnhancer
MultiIconMover
NCsettings
PandoraSkips
Springtomize 2
Weathericon

Cant believe so many jailbreakers dont mention the BEST jailbreak tweak EVER, which is ZEPHYR.

It will change your whole iPhone experience. My home button was broken and was about to buy a new phone when that tweak came out. Now my iPhone couldnt get any better.

Seriously, that developer deserves like 1000 thanks from us :D:D

Just fyi, but you could do this with Activator from day one. Zephyr is actually more geared toward app switching, no? The swipe to home to actually more like icing on the cake I think.

That being said though, its really an elegant implementation.

For new tweaks I like:
Sparrow+

How's the lag on Barrel? The video looks like it lags pretty badly...

I think it's great that people keep starting threads like this. I jailbroke my iPhone 4 a few days ago and when looking for lists so many were several years old. It's nice to see the latest Cydia apps that are popular! I added several more just from this list. Thanks.

Does anyone know if PDANET uses VPN? I'm using that on Verizon, it's free vs. MyWi which costs $20.

The free version of PDANet I believe doesn't allow you to access any type of secure website after a brief free trial. I'm not sure if this means https:// or if it includes VPN as well. TetherMe is another option I've been told.

Thanks, I saw this when I downloaded it, and I thought the same thing, that it probably meant https. I tried though and can still access https sites. I just want an app so I can have 3G on my kindle fire which doesn't get used much. I'm concerned with Verizon finding out and cutting my unlimited plan. Is it likely they can find out?

First-time jailbreaker, and here are some Cydia apps I'm really enjoying so far:

  • Zephyr
  • Springtomize 2
  • NoAccSplash - removes the "Accessory Connected" so I can still control my iPhone music when its plugged into my car
  • AppBackup - backs up all your app/game data in case you need to restore
  • Bars - slightly more accurate reception indicator
  • biteSMS - quick replies, contact photos in message lists, I just like it a lot
  • Blackout - When I use Zephyr, the status bar switches between gray and black. This keeps the status bar black at all times
  • Bytafont - change the fonts!
  • Curiosa - background updates for Cydia packages
  • FolderCloser - auto-close folders after I launch an app
  • IconRotator - icons rotate depending on orientation of phone
  • MultiIconMover
  • NCSettings - cleaner than SBSettings, even if a few less options
  • PandoraSkips
  • Quicknote for Notification Center
  • QuickSiri - quickens Siri slightly
  • SpringFlash - double-click the sleep button for a flashlight (can customize)
  • StayOpened - downloading apps from AppStore doesn't send you back to home screen
  • SwipeShiftCaret - like swipe selection, but you swipe in text field. SwipeSelection inhibits my ability to hold the Symbols button and slide to the symbol I want to input, so I use this instead
