Too late - oh well good to know for next time. Barely over the £15 limit (about £17) and get slapped with a £12 charge seems excessive.

Interesting to see the size of it. Although perhaps only a few mm different, it feels much larger in the hand. I can’t easily wrap my fingers around it like I can the 6s.

Here is a photo of it (caudabe clear case) with a 6s inside View attachment 725181

I got the same card a few days ago. I've not gone to pick up the item but it most likely is a Caudabe case as that's the only international order I have right now. It's the same amount too.
[doublepost=1507913381][/doublepost]

That's good to know. I think I will email them too and tell them the same thing. I'm not paying £12 for a case that cost just double that and probably cost a fraction of the price to actually make. If they accept it back and give me a refund I might re-order it again and see if it goes through without the customs duty.

Oh no! I ordered the silver lucid case and it arrived today with no fees to pay. I suspect it may be because I used a 25% discount code which brought it under the customs limit.

I've been stung with a fee like that before though - the really irritating thing is that £8 of it is the "handling fee" that Royal Mail charge.

If you intend to re-order, use the code MacMike2017 to get the discount.

Here's a couple of photos of mine. I must say, I don't see how it can protect from a 6ft drop being only plastic and it does feel quite slippery to me. I may invest in something a little more protective just in case....

Is the plastic stiff like PC or more flexible like TPU? I prefer a more flexible case as I worry about trying to get off for cleaning and also trapping dirt against the glass back

It’s hard like polycarbonate. Not sure about it myself for the same reasons. Don’t want it scratching my phone when putting it on

It's definitely a stiff material, not flexible I'm afraid.

Specifically, are you referring to colour degradation &/or scratches, cuts, breaks etc? Since it's Silicon we're discussing, I'm thinking the latter as colours should remain intact I'd think.

Unlike leather....In a YT vid I saw yesterday a Product Red leather case turned pretty putrid in colour after 2 years, but it didn't seem to have much physical damage.
The corners started losing chunks of silicone and it began to shed it’s outer skin, if that makes sense.

Can you show the stats of the K11 vs the Mod in size for the X.

Sure. ThanoTech posted the measurements on their website. RhinoShield did not, so I emailed them, but they forget to include the height measurement. I will update the thread as soon as they get back to me.

K11: height 146mm / width 74mm / depth 9.66mm

Mod: height ? / width 76mm / depth 10.15mm

The K11 is incrementally smaller, but enough where it should make a difference all around.

RhinoShield got back to me. The height of the Mod is 149.3mm.

One mm is 4/100 of an inch. 3mm is 1.2/10 of an inch. Anybody that complains about that sort of difference is just a whiner.

I’m not complaining, just stating the facts because I like to know the exact specs on certain things and others do as well.

The K11 is thinner than the Mod by 3.3mm height / 2mm width / .49mm depth :)

I didn't say it was you who was complaining. ;)

Just commenting that the difference in specs is literally something that is barely visible or distinguishable, yet I'm sure there will be people here whining about the thickness.

Yeah, I got ya.

One thing to point out is that both of these companies have slimmed down their bumpers through each new release, which is great!

First time ever. Just dropped my 7 Plus face down onto kitchen floor. Apple Leather case saved it. No marks anywhere. Definitely be using the Apple Leather case when I get my X.

For those of you who are interested, the LifeProof Next is up for preorder, with a ship date of November 10. Initially, I was extremely interested in this case, but it seems to add a lot of bulk to the phone. Also, the $80 price tag is a tough pill to swallow.

Here's another case I came across:

http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-device/iphone/glassbak-360-for-iphone-x.html

Seems like a really nice design (aluminum bumper), but I'm not too sure how resilient the glass back will be.

Hello fellow members
I know no one has the iPhone X in hand yet but what better way to pass the time then buying accessories.

I have been a long supporter of Anker due to the year + warranty on items and the quality u receive at the price point u get for. It's a win win. HaHa
This breeze series case is made up of a 2 piece TPU / plastic style case. The rim of case is plastic and the remainder is black TPU. The added two layer support, while keeping things slim, make me trust this case to support my $1k phone from some nasty phone drops.
As u can see from the pictures there is a stripe design on the back, it's just a flat design and doesn't have ridges like a ruffle potato chip. HaHa
For the price point and quality at hand, u can't ask for much more.
All buttons are covered with TPU portion of case which feel are going to give a nice tactile feedback.
If I had to pinpoint one con with the case is that I wish it had a little more grip factor. With the shiny plastic on the sides and flat back it doesn't stick in your hand like I would prefer.
Over time with the oils from your hand the grip might get more tacky and provide better grip.

Enjoy the pics and the nice professional look of this case.

That's a really nice looking case. I have already picked up two clear cases (a no-name cheapie and a Pelican Adventurer), but the Karapax is really tempting. I'm not ordering any more cases until I complete the iPhone X preorder and get a delivery date, but this one may have moved to the top of my list.

So on top of my caudabe clear case (fully polycarbonate), I just ordered two spigen cases - liquid crystal (fully TPU), and ultra hybrid (mix of TPU and hard plastic)

At least one of those should feel good enough
