Been getting leather wallet BookBook case from Twelve South since iPhone 4S.. Probably switching to carbon fiber wallet case with the iPhone X. It should hold up and last longer. At least that's the hope

What do you think of that Ghostech water proof case? Is it worth the adventure?
I personally never use Ghostech cases but according to flossy_carter youtube videos they seem decent. They are not build to the same standards like life proof is but they are ok. Here is video review for their iPhone 7/7+ case:

Was on another thread trying to find a supplier of the Zenus case for the X, but no luck getting them to an English-speaking country as yet. Have settled on a Snakehive wallet case, which is a cheap copy. Will hold out for the Zenus when it goes on sale globally.

This is what I have (so far :) )

They are from in no particular order Caseology, Patchworks Silk, Famavala, Yesgo, and one does not have a brand name.

2 from Ebay. The other 4 from Amazon. Paid no more then $5 for each. The patchwork case was like $2 via a coupon code from Slickdeals.

Of them all IMHO the Patchworks and Yesgo feel and seem to be the best of the 6. I would have thought the Silk Base grip would have been the best of the 6 seeing as it is the case I use for my 7 & 8 Plus. It is flimsy compared to the 7 & 8 Plus versions.

Attempting caseless (with insurance) for the first iPhone ever as the glass is not as slippery as 6S+. But I am using dual screen protectors which I’ve linked below

iPhone X Screen Protector Front + Premium Back, KuGi Full Coverage Curved Tempered Glass Protector [Bubble Free] [Scratch Resistant], Fit for iPhone X Smartphone, Transparent https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074XPWNX6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_jpy7zbC574EQQ

Got front and back glass protectors that I'm hoping might negate the need for a case. Otherwise I'll just stick with the front glass screen protector and throw a clear TPU case on the back.

flat with edges, or rounded? I think I'll hold out until I see reviews for good 3D/rounded glass ones

My Spigen cases arrived - ultra hybrid and liquid crystal. Both pretty much identical in size/shape other than the hybid having a hard back. Both seem noticably bigger in the hand than the caudabe lucid clear. and with the X being bigger than my 6s already, I might try the Caudabe first

The front has rounded edges. Not sure about the back. Will update.

Not sure if this is the right place to post. But I normally buy the Speck Clear Presidio/Candyshell whatever you want to call it. This time around I'm tempted by the fully clear Otterbox Symmetry. Anybody have any opinions?

I'll probably get Speck's white/black grip presidio. I currently have the white/black grip candyshell on my iphone 6 and it's been great.

Not sure if you have on of their leather cases for your current phone, but I do not recommend it. Within a month of owning it, the leather just all of a sudden peeled off on mine. It’s literally just glued on the back.

Wife has had it on her 8 with no issues since launch and, they are guaranteed so we shall see.

I really want a clear case to show off the silver X. I have concerns however regarding the clear case against the glass back. The clear case made an awful bubbled back appearance to my jet black 7 plus which I fear may have the same effect on the X.

I think it depends on the material of the clear case back. Based on your picture, I'm assuming your clear case was made completely of TPU. If the back is a soft TPU, it can bubble/rainbow affect like your picture. If you get a clear case with a PC (polycarbonate) back, it won't do that. At least with the clear cases I've had. My last 4 iPhones all had clear cases, and none of them did that, but they all had a PC back. i.e. I currently have a Speck Presidio Clear on my 7 plus, a Spigen on my 6s Plus, a Luvvit on my 6 Plus, and some other clear case on my 5S. None of those ever bubbled.

It was a TPU case. Makes sense...I’ll have to look into one with that other material.
