Have you tried the leather?

That's pretty sharp.

Here's my new Cosmos Blue leather case I picked up on Amazon. It smells a little different than my last leather case but it still smells like leather so I'm hoping it's authentic. I've tried so many cases over the past year and nothing matches the quality and feel of these. It's low profile and the way the camera cutout hugs the module makes it seem like the phone was built with the case in mind rather than the other way around. It also gives it a warm feel which is a nice retreat from the cold lifeless feel of most of the cases out there and even the phone in its naked state.

Can't recommend them enough. Easily worth the $50 price tag.

Nice!! And yeah, I bought the midnight blue on clearance and tried it, but not a fan.

I'm planning to get this device as a gift for a relative of mine who loves iPhones and will be thrilled to get this device. I want to get him also a great case that can provide solid protection but not be too bulky.

I see some really nice looking cases that are already available on . I especially love some of the Spigen cases. What cases are you going to get?

Currently these are my favorite cases.

1. UAG iPhone X Pathfinder Feather-Light Rugged [BLACK] Military Drop Tested iPhone Case

2. Amazon.com: Spigen Thin Fit iPhone X Case with SF Coated Non Slip Matte Surface for Excellent Grip

3. Amazon.com: OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES Case for iPhone X

I’ve always had the Apple Leather Cases for every iPhone, since they were first introduced with the 5S.

Now, for my new iPhone X I couldn’t find the leather color I was looking for, but did find a midnight blue Silicone Case on sale, so decided to try it out.

Can’t i just say - It is AWESOME! I’m amazed by the feel.

I think I much prefer it over leather, never thought I’d say so.

Doesn't it feel great to not have your device ensconced in a dead animal?

Does it feel like Apple's silicone or the usual cheap eBay/Amazon chinese knock-off junk?

1st I H8 Apple cases because they don't have the lip all around. I can still swipe W/O problems.

This is not a Cheapo Knock-Off, it's Extremely High Quality...IMO!

It feels better than any other Silicone Case I've owned or tried, including Apple's. The trick to Silicone is to wash them regularly in HOT WATER with good dish soap (I use Dawn) to remove body oils, grime, dirt & germs. Keeps the Silicone looking great + feels better and grippier. Then I use my Wife's Hair Dryer to dry the inside soft material.
The Miracase has better/brighter colors (Mine is Red) than Apple.

I agree that the open bottom is annoying, but it's something I've just gotten used to over time. As for the silicone material itself, Apple's seems to resist picking up lint, oil, pet hair, etc much, much better than any of the knock-offs I've gotten (that were falsely listed as real).

As for your specific case, I have one made by Hoco. Literally the exact same thing. The cheap silicone not only manages to pull dust and lint seemingly out of thin air, but the touted feature of having the bottom covered was stretched just by installing the case. I woke up the next morning to see the silicone start to pull off of the harder material that gives the case it's rigidity. In other words, using the product for it's intended purpose causes it to fall apart.

For your cleaning tip, I've tried that. Maybe it works on knock-offs, but it doesn't do much for an actual Apple case. Any cleaning is good, don't get me wrong. But you're never going to have that 'fresh case feel' after the first day or so. And that goes double for Apple's Sport Bands (which aren't silicone but fluoroelastomer), but the sentiment is the same.

Currently, I'm using a Spigen Liquid Air in Midnight Blue, which almost perfectly matches my Midnight Blue watch band. I just wish they'd (Spigen) would release the case in Pacific Green.

Guess that’s what makes the world go around... opinions!

Lint is not that much of a problem Takes me all of a few seconds to brush it off if my pockets happen to be dirty.

Mine doesn’t/hasn’t stretched yet. I clean it at least twice a month (removing and reinstalling) virtually no problem with stretching, that’s what you get with quality. If you’re careful you won’t ruin your case.

Every time I clean mine I get that happy feeling similar to fresh sheets on the bed. Besides removing the germs it looks and feels New.

Have a good day.

In the end, I'm standardizing on my Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case for my iPhone X. It offers good protection and mostly importantly, it doesn't make the phone "bulky" to hold like you get with many cases. The Ultra Hybrid is available in versions for the 2018 iPhone models, too.

I had the purple Apple case for my X. Loved that case. I was complemented on it multiple times. They didn't have that same color when the XS Max came out. I've got like the dark blue-ish colored Apple case on my Max.

I picked up one of the leather cases for my XR since Apple doesn’t make one and I highly recommend it. Quality is easily just as good if not better than Apples official one and I love the colors.
Another nice leather case is Haxford. Nice pebbled leather with more grip and less scratching. Also, has the leather smell. Same thinness as the Apple case.
