I ordered the Spigen Liquid Crystal based on what it looks like in this vid. Pretty cheap as well. They also have a more protective one called the Neo Hybrid Crystal but it looks too chunky.

Just got the Caudabe Sheath in Navy today. It's a nice, understated case which feels solid and secure in the hand. Cutouts for lightning port, speakers and mute switch are precise. Covers for the power and volume buttons are firm and tactile.

The case is a good thickness - not bulky and not too thin with absolutely no flex when installed. The area around the lightning port is reinforced with a little extra thickness. The texture is a very fine matte, grain material which makes it comfortable to grip but doesn't affect the ability to slide in/out of pockets. The carbon fibre accent beside the camera is glossy and smooth and offers a nice pop of style on an otherwise plain case. Branding on the side and at the bottom of the rear is small and discrete.

There is a raised lip around the front to protect the screen. This does not impede performing gestures, but does feel a little bit sharp when moving a finger across as there is a seam here. There was a slight touch of wear along the top edge straight out of the box, so I suspect this may be the first part to suffer from wear and tear.

The camera is protected with a fractionally higher lip than elsewhere - this is so minimal it won't result in rocking when laid flat but still means the lens will not come into contact with the surface.

Some of my close-up pics looks purple, but I can assure you the blue on the full case shots are truer to colour. In low light, it actually looks black! :D I've also got a red one on the way which should arrive next week.

This is my second Caudabe case (first being a Lucid Clear) and I'm very happy with it. I think I'll be going back for a Synthesis soon! :D
Very nice review/photos.

& thanks for confirming the camera cutout slightly protudes yet doesn't cause a wobble.

The Synthesis was probably my fave of the Caudabe cases. Look forward to your review of that.

Just received my Sheath in black a few hours ago. So far it’s my favourite all-round case for the X. Feels great and is the perfect balance (for me) between thinness and protection.

Gonna be a while before I take this one off! Great job Caudabe!

Caudabe makes great cases ! The sheath is my favorite and I bought it 2 times for my iPhone 6s Plus and my 7 Plus. I will buy it for my next iPhone X

Just ordered the whole Caudabe line-up (except for lucid clear) for 60$ shipped to Europe.

Used the “NOVEMBERFLASH” -20% code that ends today + free international shipping above 45$.

I still don’t even have the phone but I had to account for shipping times. (and I ain’t paying 38$ for fast shipping)

All black. (actually the synthesis is “black” with clear frosted back, the completely black one is sold out)

Only sheath+synthesis was 48$ (promo code + paid 4$ slow shipping) so I oh-whatevered the Veil XT for only 12$ more even if it’s not my kind of case.

I’ve got that case, looks great on the phone but tough to keep it dust free and also beware of removing it as I have a tiny little scuff from removing this case too many times to clean the phone.

It’s a total grease and fingerprint magnet too but I think it feels great to hold. Replaced mine with the sheath case as I feel it offers more protection and I won’t need to remove it as often

Thank you for the advice, i will probably get an Apple case in a few days as well, i like to have options. Yea clear cases tend to have problems with yellowing and allowing dust in, if it's too bad i will use another case and not bother with this one again.

What does that have to do with the device's haptics?
Apple Case makes the iPhone X feels bulky, bigger, different(in bad way), compared to the original naked haptic of the iPhone X. Ok for the ones who work on a construction site, heavy big duty bulky protective cases makes sense, but for normal daily usage i don't think so.

Here is the Encased in White/Sliver. It's a nice case and adds a little bulk to the phone but protects the phone well. It is a three piece case with polycarbonate (white) and hard TPU (grey) The mute button was a little small and hard to get to but I used an X-Acto knife to make the cutout a little bigger and it works better. It still has a nice lip even with a glass screen protector on the phone.

Do you mean aesthetics? Haptics are the vibrations and Taptic Engine in the phone.

They are pretty quick on standard international shipping - my orders took 8 days and 5 days respectively and I've got another on the way.

I would have like to have ordered several in one go, but I wanted to stay under the customs limit. Even with shipping on each one it works out cheaper than paying duty and fees here in the UK.

By the way, you may find the tracking stops just before it leaves the US. Don't worry, it will just turn up in your regular mail a few days later. :)

I have it. Unfortunately, I dont trust myself to use it since it’s a bit thin and no lip whatsoever. I love the aesthetics though.

Got the Catalyst Impact Case, loving it so far, great protection, lightweight, the ringer on/off knob works flawlessly, and the buttons are very easy to push.

I'm not sure about that dial, especially with the red. To each his own, and you're happy that is all that matters.

True story I only love my Apple Silicone case cos it's the first one I ever had, I like the ultra violet color, and it was free. It's a purely for aesthetics case IMO.
The silicone case is a nice looking case, and helps maintain the phones elegant lines, but it offers little to no protection from drops. I also found that I'd want something with a bit more heft or grippiness so that I'm less likely to have it slide out of my hands :)
