This is a sleeve, which is pretty pointless. So you're going to take it in and out of the sleeve every time you use your phone? You would be hoping that when you drop the phone it's in the sleeve, and not one of the numerous times you have it out.

And the sleeve totally covers up the phone. You can't even check the time.

But enjoy your nice pieces of leather.
Thanks, enjoying since approx 6 years :) iP5 >iP5s > iP6+ > iP7+ > now iPX
Never had an incident that caused damage. Dropped iP6+ once, sleeve fully saved it.

So I bought the nomad clear case and I love it!

- The frosted bumper makes it feel less plasticky than most clear cases.
- The clear part shows off the back of the phone nicely. But it's still hard plastic so will definitely scratch.
- it doesn’t add too much bulk like most other nomad cases.
- no gaps or slits like the spigen ultra hybrid.
- the leather patch feels soft and good in the hand and gets rid of the gummy feeling of other clear cases

This will be my daily case from now on! :)

When out running on the hills, I've always used a Lifeproof Fre case as I've found them to be utterly indestructible as well as waterproof. The downside is that they add some bulk to the phone, but not a massive amount compared to some other similar cases out there.

Recently they've been moving to cases without a screen protector which I've not been a fan-of as I'm paranoid that if I drop my phone it will land on a stone/rock, so the protective lip round the outside won't do any good at all. Anyway, there's no Fre case available for the X yet so I picked up a Slam to try. Its a two part case offering fill back and side drop protection plus the usual raised front. Unlike the Fre, the cameras aren't covered, but obviously from a waterproofing view, that's less of a concern with the recent phones.

Its nice and light, the clear colour lets you see the phone underneath and it feels very grippy in the hand, so I'll give it a go and just hope I don't drop it face down!

I have had some bad luck with the Caudabe Clear. I have been sent two cases and each has been a creaky mess. I have been told by reps at Caudabe that the Space Gray is ever so slightly smaller than the White model which has caused problems with the first batches of the cases.

I also have a couple of Veil XT’s (Red and black) and a Sheath. I am disappointed with the look of the new Sheath as it has the faux carbon fiber look on the top of the case that makes it look a bit cheesy. I picked up an Apple Silicone case in black just to have when the mood strikes.

For now I am rocking the X without a case. It’s just too nice looking to put something on it that will cheapen the look. Yes, I have AppleCare+.

Thanks for the review! I’m really thinking of picking one of these up. That 6.6 ft seems too good to be true. How hard/easy is it to take the case on and off? I love to go naked a lot of the time.

Edit: 20% off this weekend.

The case comes off with only a small amount of effort, but not so easily that it would pop off during an impact.

I liked it when I first saw it and it has continued to grow on me. I usually switch cases often, but this one has stayed on since it arrived.

I can't say how true the drop protection statement is, I'm afraid I've no intention of testing that out! :D

Those fancy Baseus cases are constantly showing up in my Facebook feed. They look pretty slick and cool, but I am curious if there are any owners here who can talk about their value.

I don't have their cases but I doubt the quality of them. Probably not worth what they're asking in price. They sell the one that says "auto focus ultimate experience" for 16.95 which can be found on Amazon, eBay, etc for 7 bucks.

Edit: here's the "plating shining" one on eBay for $6 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=192361798581.

Those soft TPU cases get real nasty is not too much time. I find them really nice the first week or so and wind up tearing them off in horror not long after that.

I've found that similar ones for the iPhone 4/5 gathered dust on the insides and it scratched the sides of the phone.

I've got the Spigen ultra hybrid and it feels a little bulkier than my previous Spigen case, but I think it's needed for the added protection.

Also, my last one was hard plastic whereas this one is soft-ish. Do Spigen even make the hard plastic ones now?

Just received my Ringke Fusion but I’m getting this watermark effect on the back. Is there anyway to resolve this? I’ve tried cleaning my phone and the case multiple times in case there was some oil from my fingers or something causing it.

Currently got a silicone Pink sand on but now not liking how its a tad bulky and also not covering that bottom chrome makes me nervous. Had a route around today and found a lovely one on Amazon from Spigen the liquid clear cases coming on Friday fingers crossed thats the one!

Do you have it on, how does it look / feel?

This is a great case, I had it for my 7+. Problem is it turns yellow pretty quickly and starts to look super gross. Wait long enough and it will turn brown.

My fusion arrived today also and I’m getting the exact same effect.

Ended up taking it off and putting phone away until I get another case.

Was afraid of it being too tight on the glass and damaging it.
