Thanks. They all seem to be like that now... maybe because the harder cases were tough to get on and off.
Not sure anyone has mentioned this, but it looks like a Pitaka case.
Got one for my iPhone 7, but I wouldn't dare get this for the X as it'll scuff the stainless steel band for sure just by putting it on and taking it off.
I’m returning my Apple leather Case today ... I feel like it’s a bit of a chore to have this case. Not much protection I can’t get it wet, I commute from the city so I like to sanitize my phone when I get home and I can’t do it with this Case and I hate the slippery feel to it. I just got the Caudabe sheath in and I’m in love with the feel of it!
So I got the BookBook case from Twelve South and I've had their cases for years but I'm kind of disappointed that they still haven't made the plastic shell more drop resistant. I haven't dropped it yet while in the removable shell but it does not seem like it will protect it much. It's just a thin run of the mill plastic shell. Does not make me feel confident if it were to ever drop. The shell is the exact style the Apple silicon and leather case are but just thin plastic. Kinda disappointed. Will probably look at the Burkley to wallet case when released. Their removable shell looks like it's much more impact resistant than Twelve South's
My x had a decent drop today. Probably 3-4 feet. Of course panic set in. Remove the leather case and no damage.
I was on the fence with the leather but so far no issues.
I do agree about any case being a batteries experiment in the works.
Just curious do you use cases on previous phones?
How did the leather case come out? Mind posting pics of the damage to the leather? And what surface?

As far as the case it looks fine.
The Zagg screen protect cracked. Was happy about that because after 3 shields the installer couldn’t align the notch area.
Apple’s application is perfect.
Must have been a terrible feeling when you dropped it lol. Sounds like it dropped face first? You think the Zagg prevented your screen to crack?
Full confidence in Zagg shields!
Misalignments of the shield on the X drove me crazy.
As far as the fall. Yes it was one of those slow motion thin things, reaching out and yelling Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo in the low almost distorted voice

I wonder just how protective it is.
It’s a minimalist case. Definitely not a lot of protection. I like it because of the cutouts. Its shows off the polished stainless steel band and buttons.
Red Caudabe Sheath arrived today - very nice! I've never owned an Apple case, but I imagine this would be close to Product (RED). Photos are pretty true to colour.

Picked up another BARE Series case this time in Aqua. Anyone else still loving the fact we have 5.8 inches of screen in the same size body as the 4.7 inch line ups nearly??
