Just bought X, and love the phone.

I had a 6+ before and went through 3 cases: A Modal Folio Case (loved it but case was easily damaged), a Spigen Ultra Hybrid (rubber bumper, plastic clear back), and finally a Spigen Thin Fit (thin profile, top and bottom slightly exposed)

Coming from the 6+, I already enjoy the smaller size so I don't need the thinnest case possible. I went with this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07425RS66/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This case, for $9, offers protection, grip, and the style I wish apple went with (matte, frosted, whatever). It comes in smoke and smoke white so it slightly shows off the phone. Also, offers protection from the fingerprint prone stainless steel and glass. It's not the thinnest, but again I don't mind as I was already used to the 6+ size so this is comfortable.

anyone recommend a folio/wallet case that protects the whole phone. The ones i've seen are similar to apple cases where the bottom is open.

Ever since I added a speigen stick on kickstand I've come to rely on it so of course I had to go with a case with a kickstand built in.

It isn't the most refined looking case but looks good enough for my needs. Feels very solid.

Might pick up a fabric case eventually but I need something that protects the bottom also.

https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-JETec...id=1513454921&sr=8-4&keywords=jetech+iPhone+x

PROS
- Drop protection
- Very grippy
- Doesn't add bulk
- Raised lip for on the table protection
- Kickstand to watch videos
- Not expensive $9.99
- Carbon fiber and brush back side textures

CONS
- Raised lip sometimes gets annoying when swiping up
- Back bump from kickstand

Yes it is.
thanks, at first sight I though it was silicone.

I am actually using the Apple silicone case and I love it, yet I was hoping it covers the bottom.
I ve ordered couple of those ( decided to give it a try although didn't see any comment about those cases here).

https://ryokosy.com/products/the-silk-road-iphone-x-case?variant=4847130902561

I got the black for my Space Grey and a Pink Sand for the miss. I will post some pictures once I get them.

Also, when I contacted their customer service this is what I got:

Hi Brad,

We actually provide 2 shipping methods:

- Standard Shipping Method 7-14 Working Days with Tracking Number ==> 6 USD
- Express Shipping Method 2-6 Working Days with Tracking Number ==> 22 USD

With regards the warranty, yes we do offer 1 year warranty and have 30 days no question asked return policy :)

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Samuel Cadman

Thanks Samuel for your prompt feedback,

What kind of shipping do you offer?
Also do you provide any warranty?

Thanks

Hi brad,

Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, you are right the case has 2 layers:
- Inner PC layer ( to provide extra protection to the iPhone structure)
- Outer Silicone layer ( in addition to the soft touch and enhanced Hand-Grip, it provided a chock absorbent complementary layer)

The case 1.1 mm thick, which makes it one of the thinnest protective case.

Also the Silk Road protects the bottom part of the iPhone X, which is one of the main features.

Hope this answers your questions, let me know if you require any further details.

Sincerely,
Samuel Cadman

Hi there,

I was browsing your website and I am interested in your Silk road case.
in the description it mentions that the case has 2 layers, one of them is silicon, what about the other one?
Also how thick is this case?

Cheers

There’s a small gash in my Apple silicone case. No idea how. I haven’t dropped it. I’m going to go into Apple and I expect them to give me a brand new one. 1yr warranty FTW. Just one reason I buy Apple products for the store support. I am disappointed that this happened in the first place.

Besides that I’m loving the silicone case over all the other cases I’ve tried. (Yes I’ve said this before). No bottom lip, great grip, good buttons and looks great despite the lint issue. It feels protected too.

Why do I keep coming back to this Caudabe Sheath?
Probably because, IMHO, it’s close to the perfect balance between protection and thinness. I sometimes put on my Tozo or Veil XT and wish it had more protection, or I put on my Apple leather case and wish it was thinner.

Wish there were more similar style cases to the Sheath available in the UK because it’s not cheap getting it shipped from the US + tax/customs charges.

Advantages of this case VS apple’s silicone case?

This silicone case covers the bottom.
They also highlight a feature as easy SIM card access (the case has an opening to eject SIM card without removing the case).
Could be useful for frequent travellers but not for me.

For me it is mainly the protection of the bottom.

Yes, it's the Fine Port version.

Thank you! I’ve just placed an order for the black and fine port.

Been add to my Presidio grip collection. Have the eclipse blue/black and waiting in the black/red. Speck makes nice cases.

I saw a review from Amazon that says the Presidio Grip case is too tight and it caused scratches on the phone. Have you experienced the same problem with your case?

I haven’t experienced any issues. All of mine have been easier on and off than I thought they would be

My single gripe is the bottom lip but I’m trying to pay attention more to where I swipe and get over it. It’s a very minor issue.

I've found a lot of cases seem to fit very tightly on the X and are difficult to take off making me nervous about scratching the phone.

Ordered the Carbon Fiber Monarch case from UAG and they shipped it from Hong Kong and it took 15 days to arrive. This case has the thin, loose, saggy bottom like most Monarch cases have. Emailed UAG and after emailing them a couple of pictures they sent me a brand new replacement Carbon Fiber Monarch case which shipped from the US and arrived in a couple of days.
The bottom on this new case is not as loose and saggy as the first one (still not perfect) but the carbon fiber is 100 times nicer looking on this replacement case. This case really pops and is off the charts in the looks department. I like it ! The packaging has also been updated with the iPhone X marking instead of iPhone 2017

Here's some pictures of the new and old case side by side.
