Seems to me that developers who were accepted into the program during the initial beta period (before mid-July of last year) get access to the beta firmware, whereas I've never had access to any beta and have had to wait until the firmware was released to the public, and which point I could download the new SDK and test my apps to ensure they still work under the new firmware. Hopefully this policy will change with 3.0.Do all developers get access to beta firmware? just wondering in case beta 3.0 comes out today, would that be under the downloads section in the developers area? was wondering how it wored for 2.0 thanks
My wish came true! YES! YES! I will be installing 3.0 Beta immediately.
Hopefully the damn App Store problems will be fixed today as well.
If you're a registered iPhone Developer, from the iPhone Dev Center (once it's back up). If not, you're SOL.not to sound like a total idiot, but where can i get beta 3.0?
Even if you apply today, it'll probably be a few days before you're even accepted. And you don't need to pay the $99 to get access to the SDK. That part is free.So does anybody know if I apply to be an iPhone developer and pay my $99 fee today, will I be able to download the beta?
No, you'll need an Intel-based Mac.Can anyone signed up install the firmware? Even from a PC and itunes?
The iphone dev page is down.
Safari cant open the page.
Safari cant open the page http://developer.apple.com/iphone/ because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.
Every once and a while I get
Besides the beta-ness will the phone fully function with the beta firmware? Like network access, Wifi etc.? Some devices I've tried in the past were crippled with beta firmwares. I have two iPhones so I'm not too bothered about paying $99 installing buggy firmware to try out the new stuff.
