Is there a way for me to ignore the 11.0.1 public beta; I have already unenroll the device and also, unticked the automatically keep the Mac updated checkbox.

Still, it shows an update available. Will this have an impact when the general public release of Big Sur happens ?

thanks,

Just have to cope with the notification and once 11.0 public release comes, this should end up replacing the 11.0.1 update, since you won’t have the beta profile enrolled. I had the same last year, and also inadvertently the same on one of my test machines this year.

I have been on the Developer Previews and was on Big Sur 11.1 but just rolled back to Catalina.

I was getting kernel panics where my laptop constantly would shut down. I did a fix using Disk Utility but that solved nothing. Then, Safari was crashing every time I started it.

I encountered two severe crashes since this morning. I don't know the root cause but it's very annoying.

Been smooth sailing here so far. Although Im kinda bummed I didn't keep the last beta installer now, so Im stuck on the 11.0.1 until it gets released.

Only thing Ive noticed is some weird Wifi behavior, or rather its working once again as it used to in Catalina. Im wondering if something was broken in the betas and got fixed in the 11.0.1 update. After moving to the Big Sur beta, my wifi would no longer connect to our 5G network, and the only reason it still did was because it was jumping on a MESH extender we have in the kids room next door (we have some thick plaster walls that block even our cellphone's wifi from ATT). After updating now Im not jumping on the MESH extender and I seem to be able to jump right back on the 5G network from my room again??

I am staying in Catalina as long as I can. I do not recommend Big Sur in its Gold Master status right now. I am not the only one experiencing crashes.

Big Sur is working great on the machines we are testing it on. All 8 of them. Had some issues in the early betas, but they are resolved now.

Running as good as the current version of Catalina.

I encountered kernel panics I never had on Catalina. It's less and less frequent after each beta however.

I don't know. I had more problems with Catalina than Big Sur beta. I think Catalina is one of the worst OS released by Apple.

despite a great run thru all the betas (with a few minor bumps), just had my first big sur kernel panic. macbook with no external devices, just editing a Note.& only apple default apps running. hmmm...

I have problem with Music notifications on build 20A5395g. I have setup that each song change may cause notification, but it donesn't work at all. Notification never shows.

This. I did not try earlier betas but the current 11.0.1 works even better than Catalina. :)

EDIT: Battery life seems to be better too.

They will come, when Devs make ones for the new Widget interface ☺️
Late to the party on this discussion, but with installing Big Sur last night on my non-work machine, I was sad to see Monity not working as a widget :( Hope they make a widget soon!

Any other alternatives to consider that would work with Big Sur, or are we too early for that?

I would miss Monity, too. Gotta contact the developer if he has any plans to update it.
