Sydney Australia
Sydney Australia desperately needs one. We rely on a group of slackers down here. You can ring up 3 resellers and get different stories about Apple products. :(

No Apple stores anywhere in Western Canada, population 9.6 million. This includes two cities over 1 million (Calgary & Edmonton) and one over 2 million (Vancouver). Apple says they're planning to open stores in this area but it's taking them a very long time for some reason.

I suppose there are a load of cities with 10 million+ populations without an Applestore, such as Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Manila, Mumbai, Delhi, Jakarta, Buenos Aires etc

In Europe, Paris has by some calculations around 9 million give or take the odd million and a reasonable base of users, but no Applestore. Ditto Moscow and perhaps Istanbul, though I have no idea whether Apple has any sort of marketshare in Turkey or not.

I guess we have to struck Manila out of the list. In fact, Apple Philippines has opened up new Apple canters in two of the most popular shopping malls in Manila, http://www.macworld.com/news/2002/09/30/manila/index.php .

Spokane Washington, it only has a population of 198,000, but considering all of the surrounding towns within 30 mins, witch wikipedia states are "economically unified" they would be defined as Spokane metropolitan area, but seeing as they are on the Idaho side of the boarder they are not . but considering that you have an area of roughly 600,000 people with the nearest apple store being around 400 miles away in Seattle.:(

I totally agree.

since yet another newbie deside to bring up a tread from the grave I might as well post.

Lubbock TX, a city with over 225K pop plus Texas Tech University (just shy of 30k) does not have apple store. To me I think that it is rather stupid not to have a apple story in a city of that size with a major university in it. It the college age people who tend to be the most interested in computers.

Not a city or urban area. My city, which has more than 200,000 people, and is only a few miles from Apple's headquarters, doesn't have one:mad: The one closest to me is 30 minutes away!

Wait, you're upset that you have to go 30 minutes to get to an Apple Store? I live in San Diego, a city that has several Apple Stores, and it takes me about 20-25 minutes to get there. It's in the closest mall. And I don't live in the boonies by any stretch of the imagination.

OT: I can name one of the smallest cities that *does* have an Apple store. Estero, Florida. Population 9,503 (as of the last census).

You gotta be kidding me.

To think that I live in a town of similar size and I have to go three hours to find an Apple Store.

Well it's 30 minutes without traffic (as in, off peak hours).

Otherwise, it can be an hour's drive.

Not quite, there's the Authorised dealer in Cardiff. Morgan's Arcade I think, about the size of a Mac Pro box.
It used to be up Caerphilly Rd.

Yep, AT Computers in Morgan Arcade, got my iMac from them last year.
They also have branch's in Newcastle and Tewkesbury.

I have heard that there is going to be a Apple store in the new St Davids centre.

Philly!

While Philadelphia has a few stores in the general vicinity (King of Prussia, Suburban Square and Sagemore), there still is no store in the city, which is truly a shame. Anyone from Philly knows that Walnut Street is full of very high end stores that would compliment Apple nicely. I'm sure its just a matter of time, but still annoying that the 5th largest city in the US doesn't have an Apple store.

We don't have an Apple Store in my entire state. :( I'd have to drive 2 hours down to Omaha (they just got one last year). We do, however, have 2 resellers, both of which have Apple Certified Technicians. I have purchased from one of these resellers numerous times, and am quite satisfied with their technical skills, advice, and customer service. They're big time Mac geeks, and my only other alternative, (aside from online) is Best Buy. So needless to say, I'm grateful for them.

I've got 7 within an hour, suckas! :p

Seriously, I do feel the pain of those without one. I guess that I find them to be so common around here, it seem natural.

I'm surprised Omaha has one. Not bagging on the town, or state...but its....Nebraska.
