I wouldn’t expect more/cheaper storage, considering that Apple actually raised the price of the 256 and 512 iPad Pros after release.

I agree. The question I would ask over if you should buy now is if you think the extra space the 12.9 offers would be beneficial for your use case.If you can save money today, why not, especially if you need or could use it.
Wow really? I'm glad I got my 512gb lte when I did then.I wouldn’t expect more/cheaper storage, considering that Apple actually raised the price of the 256 and 512 iPad Pros after release.
We already know. Slimmer bezels,no home button,faceId,A11XI’m wondering what they will add to the iPad next year. I want to upgrade my air 2 to whatever it is, but want more than a processor upgrade.
...if Apple keeps the 10.5" screen size, but just loses the bezels completely, that would make it smaller & more portable.
I’m wishing just the opposite—same overall physical height/width as the 10.5 but with a bumped up screen size made possible by slimmer bezels and no home button.
The reason I don’t want a shrunken iPad Pro because the current width of the 10.5 allows full size keys on the Smart Keyboard—this makes it a full size keyboard. Unlike the Smart Keyboard of the 9.7” which Apple has said the key spacing was cramped.
if OP still from Oct until now, didn't bought any ipad...now its a good time to wait
Congrats!! Tell me how Long form writing and editing goes on this setup. I’m eyeing this too without bothering waiting for the fall. Did you get the ASK? I tried it out for 3 minutes at the store and found it unusable.I just got a 10.5 pro over the weekend, upgraded from iPad Air, amazing device, size is perfect and almost bezellless design is awesome.
The iPad Pro will be perfect for scanning. The 10.5 has high-resolution camera and if you get the 512Gb you will have plenty of space to store the images. There are a number of good apps to work with the imagesAs stated above the iPad Air 2 had already replaced my MacBook for everything except long-form writing and scanning. The scanning is very important for how I create my artwork as I will start on paper before going digital to add colours and textures. Does anyone know if a good way to scan high quality documents into the iPad to overcome this issue?

Apple Pencil. I actually find it way easier to use than mouse. Can you really work with images without a mouse?
Apple Pencil. I actually find it way easier to use than mouse.
Ah. Sorry to hear that.Wish I could. I tried the pencil with my 10.5 for photo work but it didn't work for me - my hands are not steady enough (benign tremors). So I'm stuck with the mouse on a PC or laptop.
