Hi guys, I'm just popping in to let you know, that we're having a small quiz to give you the opportunity to win promo codes for the C64 app.

In order to give everybody a fair chance, we've decided to have a draw between the people who send us the right answer within the next 24 hours.

To participate, read more at our Facebook page here: Kiloo on Facebook

More C64 games are on their way, so this app just keeps on giving! :)

Congratulations to the winner: JCman7, and thank you to all who participated! We've got a new competition up and running already, which will run until midnight sunday (EST). Visit our Facebook page to read the details: facebook.com/kiloomobile

If you participated in the contest, gave the answer "Revenge of the Mutant Camels" and your first name is either Brian or Rasmus, you might want to check your email! There just might be one from us with a promo code for your free copy of the Commodore 64 app!

A new contest will be back just in time for Easter - stay tuned!

Downloading additional c64 games seems broken ATM

The shelves for both paid and free games are empty and when the "More" button is pushed we get a PHP-related error message from the web server ;-)

BTW, the www.c64iphone.com site is also broken...

Oh, well

Yeah that's what 300k plus customers will do to you. However, it should be up and running again.

The long anticipated update 1.6 for the Commodore 64 app is now live, and this time we not only bring you improved controls but also an impressive amount of games!

15 games in total, the choice between having the joystick on the left or right and some interface customization means that this could be one of the most important updates for the app yet.
In relevant games we have now made sure, that it’s no longer possible to move the joystick on an axis not in use by the game, making the controls even more precise and responsive.

Also notice that amongst the many games you’ll find two First Star Software bundles, with two games in each for only 99¢.

Several of these new games come with OpenFeint integrated, making it possible to compete against your friends (or enemies – we don’t judge) in true retro fashion.

The entire list of games looks like this:

Space Taxi

Super Pipeline I

Super Pipeline II

Boulder Dash® II

Wizball

Hover Bovver

Mancopter

Express Raider

O'Riley's Mine

The two bundles include:

First Star Software Bundle I
Bristles™
Panic Button™

First Star Software Bundle II
Flip and Flop™
Millenium Warriors™

We hope you will enjoy the update, and if you have any suggestions for games you’d like to see in future updates, feel free to tell us on our facebook page: facebook.com/kiloomobile

Don't forget that the app is still free, so get it while you can ;)

Hi guys!
We’re working hard on the next update for the Commodore 64 app but I thought I’d drop a line about what you can expect in the future.

We’ve got some great games in store for you, as we’ve signed a deal with System 3! This means that in a future update you’ll see:

• MYTH,
• International Karate
• Last Ninja I, II and III

These games were quite popular back in the day, so we hope they’ll be equally cool to play on your iPhone and iPod touch!

Don’t forget that you can follow us on Facebook, where we’ll post news about our games and where you’re welcome to discuss our products, tell us what games you’d like to see in the future or just show your support. :)

Best,
Christian

These last days have been quite busy for us – not only did we manage to get a deal with System 3 but now we will also bring a bunch of Thalamus titles to your iPhone and iPod Touch!

The list as of now looks like this:

• Armalyte
• Creatures
• Creatures II: Torture Trouble
• Hawkeye
• Heatseeker
• Hunter's Moon
• Nobby the Aardvark
• Retrograde
• Snare

This means that you will soon be able to play some of the most celebrated Commodore 64 titles ever! The fun doesn’t stop here though, as we’ve also signed a deal with Elite for Buggy Boy – one of the more addictive racers, with a great sense of speed!

As you can see a lot of titles are finding their way to the Commodore 64 app, mainly due to the great support we’ve had from you guys! If there are any titles you’d like to see, don’t hesitate to suggest them on our facebook page facebook.com/kiloomobile and we’ll see what we can do.

Any chance that you might be bringing us a native iPad version of your C64 app?

That would look pretty awesome on the large screen.

Indeed it would. It is of course something that we'll look into once the new update has been submitted. For now we are focusing on getting all the new games implemented, the controls fixed and the store up and running.

However, iPad compatibility is definitely in the making.

New update submitted

Hi guys,

Been awhile since last post, but we've finally submitted 1.7 for approval by Apple, so this upload should hit the App. store very soon. So what's included in the update? Well, let's take a look:

  • Fourteen new games: Including C64 classics like The Last Ninja series, Armalyte, Buggy Boy, Druid and International Karate.
  • Shop now separates downloaded games
  • New and improved controls, including: New fixed-mode joystick in landscape mode, Option to adjust dead zone / sensitivity of joystick, Corrected dead area at side of screen in landscape.
  • Reimplementation of control layout system, to support controls scenarios for games like The Last Ninja and Druid
  • Hi-res icons added for retina and iPad displays so C64 looks better on your home screen.
Head over at Manomio to learn more about this exciting update.

Cheers,

Still no Epyx titles eh? The sneak preview I got will never see the light of day?

I think it's a start that we have licensed the titles from System3, as they are also holding the rights to all Epyx titles. We've been negotiating with them, but made this deal initially.
