ipod shuffle

I just found iPod shuffle (white stick) in a bottom drawer.

Its probably been there - what? 5 years ....

Pushed the little toggle on back and slid square button down and...

IT PLAYED!!!!!!!!! AMAZING - how can it hold a charge for so long?

Hi everyone, interesting thread. I have a iPod HP 20gb 4th gen sealed. I was wondering if any of you could give me a good estimate on its value. It is in mint sealed condition and from what I have read is it is pretty rare being a HP. Thanks for any info you may have.

Nice! There's some dude on eBay asking for $25,000 for the same exact one, but realistically it is worth $100-$200. Hope this helps!

Latest addition to my collection, iPod Mini 2nd Generation 6GB with the BP logo on the back. Still sealed of course! It's amazing what you can find on eBay....

Don't tempt me! I can't find anything online about a BP engraved iPod Mini, and Apple couldn't help either

Pffff...Apple never help! They couldn't care less. Check with BP... ;)
I think its NOT BP-engraved! It could be a local giveaway but then its re-sealed. Is the plastic fragile or seems really sturdy?

Do not open the iPod...

Plastic is exactly the same as other sealed iPods I own, 99% certain its not re-sealed :)

My local Apple store could tell me everything about the iPod, just not what's engraved on it, but the part number is P9961B/A so it's definitely engraved by Apple with something...

...It'll just have to remain a mystery ;)

PM me, Fralle has too many iPods.
Ill pay nicely for it! :)
A sealed HP 4th Gen would fit nicely in my collection...

And Fralle, ill take one. You know my address ;)

Ipod Mini 2nd gen

I know this isn't a typical buy and sell thread. But I thought I should see if there is any interest before I try Ebay or similar. I have two brand new (sealed boxes) iPod mini 2nd generation (silver, MPN #M9800B/A) which I'm considering selling. If your not interested maybe you could share your thoughts on the estimated value of these.

Thank you!

/Fredrik.

hi everyone, i bought a dead 3rd gen ipod, and since i'm a dumb idiot, i broke the headphone flex cable while opening it (the connector came off the cable). i also would like to put a CF card in it and use it as my primary ipod (i now have a 5g).
since, i assume it's impossible to solder back the tiny contacts, do you know where can i find spare parts for it, and maybe also the adapter for a CF card?
i live in italy, so i hope i don't have to spend crazy amounts for shipping from the US!!

What capacity are these mini's
I'm interested in the 6gb one since I got the 4gb already.

I'm wondering if Lithium batteries in these sealed iPod boxes would begin swelling one day? Could ruin everything inside.

Only during a certain manufacturing period the batteries could begin to swell. I think, all iPod manufactured from 3G up to 6G could swell. This is, of course, depending on usage. You have to completely drain the batteries from time to time. They have to "work". A moderate use is the best prevention.

My original iPod 4G swelled half a year ago. I managed to replace the battery without any visible damage outside. However, I practised it on 2 cheap damaged iPods before.... I never had that problems with the iPod mini (both generations). The battery failed before it swelled.

And how about those sealed collector pieces...

If the packaging starts to swell you should begin to worry.

I'm not sure which chemical reactions take place inside those batteries and which role possible remaining charge has. So far, I never heard of swollen batteries inside a sealed product. But, I could be wrong of course.

guys i was wondering ipod touch 5th gen black and iphone 5 black are they almost identical other than one has a phone function while the other does not? i was thinking of buying iphone 5 black and collect it but it was way too expensive for me but i like e design very much so if it was almost the same i was thinking of buying ipod touch as collectables
