iPhone 5 has an A6 SOC which is much faster and has twice the memory (1024MB) as the iPod Touch's A5 SOC (512MB).

iPhone 5 also has a GPS chipset; the iPod touch does not. The battery is also much larger in the iPhone 5. Also the phone has a better camera.

The only thing identical between the two is the screen, pretty much.

Hi,
If anyone wants to boost their collection, I'm selling some duplicates.
They include the Chrome limited edition 3rd Gen iPod Shuffle.
A silver/pink 2nd Gen Nano.
A 30/60GB 5th Gen Classic (Black/White)

Let me know if you're interested.

Apart from that, this thread seems pretty quiet.
Anyone found anything recently worth sharing?
Perhaps updated and collection photos.
No matter the size, a collection is a collection...

Updated collection picture

Hi,
Been a while since I have posted. Collection has gotten rather big, and have quite a lot of very good condition iPods.. all with boxes.

Cant decide if I should try to sell it.. have no idea how much it would be worth..

I made a shelf just for the iPods that work pretty well..

A REALLY nice collection.
The display is as important as the iPods, if you ask me!! Thank's for sharing!

Updated photos

Thanks,
agreed, display is equally important, and makes the collection look quite nice. These stands also are great, which holds the iPods (had to modify most of them to hold the old iPods without dock connector).

Attached some better pictures, old ones does not really justify it:rolleyes:

Does anyone know if Brand new iPod nano in unopened box qualifies for Apple warranty despite being released in 2009?

It depends on when it was bought from Apple or an Apple authorized reseller. You would need a valid (and legible) receipt and it would have to have been bought less than a year ago.

I'd buy a first gen. iPod if I had the money! Of course, the price would probably be too high.
