Anyone who is having same issue, don't try to repair it. The swollen battery is acting as a wedge and there is no way to slide out the internals. I messed up mine employing too much raw force.
Thanks !!!
Here a few weeks I'll have a Big Surprise!
I have seen different iPod Photo boxes and now I'm wondering if anybody knows the difference? There is one white box with light blue text and there is a black box with the ipod screen with images and silver text.
I found pictures on both boxes, one in this thread and the other on macworlds webpage. Anybody care to clarify this?
iPod Big Doubt edition? O__O
P.s. I don't have all iPods, or all 3rd parties iPods, I'm collecting only original Apple's limited editions But, probably, my collection worth any of yours?

A! I really love to impress people
I'm collecting limited editions and 1st generation Apple gadgets.
For example - recalled iPod touch with iPhone OS 1.1 and display defect (you can also see it on that photo), which were produced only during 37th and 38th week of 2007.
Or iPhone with really unstable iOS 1.0
iPod 5GB with iPod firmware 1.0
iPad with iOS 3.2, etc.
And all limited editions, yesAt the moment I don't collect red iPods, but I'll really appreciate your help, guys, to find Madonna's, Beck's and NoDoubt's iPods from 2002. At that point I'd have ALL Apple's official limited edition iPods!
I was impressed because I haven't seen a Tony Hawk iPod in real life before.
And good luck finding those others. I have never seen those. I have never even seen a No Doubt iPod in a picture...I have not been able to find any record if any were produced at all. They were made after demand you see. I nobody ordered a No Doubt iPod, none were made...
You don't have a first generation iPod?
You don't have a first generation iPod?

Seems sad that I'm saying goodbye to mine. Just sold a Nano today.![]()

I love the concept of not only collecting scarce first generation iPods but also rare iOS firmware.
That's a neat idea.

You know which one is the rarest now? iOS 1.0 and iOS 7.0 on iPhone 5S! It's already impossible to find one.
My iPhone 2G is running 1.1.4 (unable to add any apps with this iOS). Every now and then I'll pop my iP5 SIM (with an adaptor) and use it for a few days...
(Yes. . . I am easily amused.)
You're calculator is the 'tell'!
You really are running 1.0
Very cool! Lots of hoops to jump through but at least no one can call that iOS boring...

But, don't you enjoy the twist of collecting scarce and rare iPods with the added adventure of locating them with scarce or rare iOS?
It's like being a numismatist and liking your Morgan silver dollars with pastel toning.
