It's not intuitive, its awkward, its over priced and it eliminates useful features. This is not a flame thread, I have no intention of starting anything. I am just one who loves the iPhone 6/7/8 form factor and I don't want to see that go away this year, even though its very likely going to. There has to be others out there who want an 8S??? I just don't see the love for the X.

Your view does not include all the people who do like the X. I have owned every phone and the X is my favorite.

You might a well get used to the fact that Apple is changing their phones or prepare to move on.

Waiting on the one poster to say... "you hate it because you can't afford it or never used it." Haha. Always amusing. Yeah not so quite true lol.
I think he’s suspended? I was looking at a another thread and it says “suspended” under his user name. You can’t type in his user name to follow / ignore either. There are a few threads going on where I was expecting / looking forward to his input. Lol. I’m sure the Legend will return soon.

The iPhone X was overhyped tbh. Yea, it's different and "cool" in certain ways. But Apple charged way too much for it which is probably why it's dead.

I don’t understand how you need to be dismissive of the people who actually like the flagship model (X) just so that Apple continues to produce another form factor. This year featured both form factors and it worked ok. You could have just said: please keep the 8 and make an updated version like an 8S, but instead you chose to talk down the other popular device while claiming to not want to start anything. Right.

Where are you seeing it's dead? I'm seeing it still available for purchase everywhere I look and selling like hotcakes.

He thinks because Apple is replacing it with a newer model in September and not continuing to sell it for less, that it's a bad product. Lot's of people on here hate that the X is selling so well, so they say things like that. As if it made any difference to those who have/like the product.

Apple isn't going back to fat bezels and home buttons OP on it's high end smartphones. At Google I/O, we discovered Android will also get gesture based controls which will allow handset makers to eliminate home buttons if they wish.

There are still iPhones with home buttons for now so keep using those. By the time you are forced to transition it will be perfected.

Forget about Apple's current phone on a forum dedicated to Apple phones? Yeah, good plan. What do you want to talk about?

I’m Actually surprised to still see threads like this surfacing even after seven months of the initial iPhone X launch. No one is going to ‘forget’ about the iPhone X, and it’s going to continue to evolve from where it Is. There Is nothing wrong with disiking the iPhone X, but I think some intentionally want to shy away from the success of it and are even more upset that it’s actually doing well from the quarterly reports from Apple.

I also think the amount of disdain for the iPhone X is such a small minority on a tech forum, that in the real world, I can only imagine the amount of those who are truly happy with this phone where Apple sells thousands of them every single day across the world.
I would imagine the reason it’s unpopular in certain countries like mine is because beyond the high price point, people who don’t follow tech just don’t care either way.

I have seen more distain for the iPhone X on forums like this and articles than I ever saw for previous models. It’s a marmite iPhone that has divided opinion that’s for sure.

It will be gone by the end of the year and you will have paid all that money for a product that is nothing. The 8+ will still be here.
X isn’t being removed from the lineup, it’s just being updated and Apple has chosen to not sell the original version so they can keep the flagship status and price point. Most complaints about the X were about the price, if Apple offered the old X along side the new one, most people would buy the original to save a couple hundred dollars just like plenty have purchased the 7 instead of the 8.. As far as the 8+ still being there, it will be right next to the 7+ and 6S+, most wouldn’t even notice the differences between the 3..

Sorry OP, I just adore my iPhone X

As you can see, I had one very long Telegram session, but anyway.
X is a best phone ever. Period.

How do we forget about something if there are threads like this one that keep on bringing it up?

That’s exactly it. Many were expecting the iPhone X to fail because of the price point and they removed touch ID, which some are not willing to accept Face ID as Apples future of biometric Security, therefore they hope the iPhone X fails because it doesn’t meet their expectations. And I’m sure some of it stems from when Apple deleted the 3.5 mm Jack as well, which somehow is conflated with the iPhone X. Altogether, this is just a starting point for the iPhone X to continue to fluorish in 2018, Which will be a bigger year in my opinion.

I really like my X - much better than my wife's 8+
It really depends upon what you want and how you use a phone
Forget about the best selling phone - why

We need more comedy like this.

I hoped it would fail in the hope future variants would come back down to the £700 mark. Everything else is something I could get used to despite not being in love with it from the start. It would be nice to try new technology rather than having to wait 2-4 years for it to be made available on mainstream iPhones.

I personally find the new gestures to be far more intuitive than previous iterations of iPhone. Especially the location of control center

If you want to forget the iPhone X, it is rather illogical to create a thread to complain about something you claim to want to forget.

Use the phone that makes you happy and stop being so melodramatic.

But we don't want an iPhone X form factor phone. We all want the 8 form factor to live on.
