The weird thing about the X is that it's basically the same phone but better in many ways. I definitely like it more, which is why I put up with the Face ID issues that I deal with, but apparently I'm in the minority so maybe I have a defective device. I'm on the yearly upgrade program so I don't really care enough to mess around with swapping it out at this point, especially since the first year the upgrade program was available it was a huge headache to upgrade when my device IDs didn't match because I had a replacement 6s, but that's a whole other story. I've been saying it for years and hardly anyone believed me that the iPhone would eventually just be a slab of glass and little else. We're moving closer to that every year. The display on this thing makes it worth it to me. But I don't see much benefit from a taller display. For all I care they could have made it 5" (to accommodate the notch and home indicator) and that would be fine.

NO, no we do not!

You may but not a lot of us. Does not matter as Apple has made the choice for you.

YES, yes we do, very much so. I speak for the majority. Everyone I have encountered hates the X and just simply, doesn't see the point of it. I didn't think it served one to even begin with. The iPhone 8/8+ is another story.

The majority???? I think not. I would like to read a poll about that sort of thing. I would never want to go back to the large top and bottom bezels.

Why so much hatred on the bezels? This is what made the original iPhones so good. They're part of the design. But I guess Apple listened and you got a nice ugly notch instead. Enjoy.

So What you’re really saying is that some small metric of people that you know hate the iPhone X, but One can assume hundreds of thousands of other Apple iPhone X users are likely more than content with their iPhone. See how the opposing argument works? You can make an anecdotal assertion and so can Others.

Please?

It's not intuitive, its awkward, its over priced and it eliminates useful features. This is not a flame thread, I have no intention of starting anything. I am just one who loves the iPhone 6/7/8 form factor and I don't want to see that go away this year, even though its very likely going to. There has to be others out there who want an 8S??? I just don't see the love for the X.
Well, Apple did intend last year's flagship to be the iPhone 8 (thus it's the one getting the product Red treatment, not the X). The X is intended to be a bleeding edge early adopter device, and the price reflects that. But people ended up flocking on the X instead, which was a good surprise for Apple.

We will end up using the X' form factor whether we like it or not, because that's Apple's direction, and Apple is already keeping the better tech for the X (eg. OIS on both cameras). Even if for whatever reason Apple refreshed the old form factor, it definitely won't get the cool new technology.

The vast majority of iPhone users still use older looking versions of the iPhone though. I doubt you could poll a true answer on this however. I bet most people would like an X but there will be a significant number that probably don’t care what the phone looks like or have no interest in buying the X at this point due to cost.

Whenever I’ve discussed the X with people I know the answer is usually ‘my iPhone works fine and don’t really want to spend a thousand pounds on a phone’... That’s the crux of the matter, not what size the bezels are. I think Apple will have more success with the cheaper LCD version this year, but even that sounds rather big and perhaps lacking features. We’ll be seeing older iPhones for some time yet I think.

It is sad that you think you speak for the majority. Maybe time to consider the people you are hanging out with.

You are just trolling to stir the pot. I been here to long to get stirred up.

I don’t care one way or the other, I buy and sell and use whatever I end up with to make a few $$, have had a plus and 2 X in last month, both have their for and against.

An all screen display is something I have dreamed and hoped for since owning the original iPhone. I am willing to bet that is a belief shared and held by the majority.

My exact reason for really loving the X. I would look at my sisters androids then next to my iphone SE. I would see how that theirs was so much more screen vs mine. Even my Mother who has the SE said when looking at my X, WOW! Look at how much bigger the pictures are. I wish m screen was bigger.

I love iOS6 design, and the iPad Mini! But what we minorities like doesnt matter to apple...
I speculate the iPhone 9 will come out this year, and be a slight bump to the iPhone 8 with iPhone X internals.

Personally Ive never been a fan of the iPhone 6 design or beyond. I usually go caseless and absolutely HATE the camera not being flush with the back, but again, thats Apples call. Its your choice if you want to keep an old phone you like, or get a better performing one that you wont like as much.

Im most excited about the iPhone SE2, especially if it does follow with a smaller bezel all around!
