The X for factor was Apple's highest selling phone the last 2 quarters. I think you're in the minority. The 8 form factor will live on at a reduced price/iPhone SE.

Oh the iPhone SE. That form factor was better than the 8. Damn you are making me reminisce the iPhone 5 days with iOS 6 now. That phone and iOS is what should be today.

I completely disagree, iOS 6 looks horrible today. Maybe a jitterbug is more up your alley? I am just kidding, but I don't really see why people pine for the iOS 6 days, it looks terribly outdated to me. iOS 7 wasn't perfect, but it was a step in the right direction. I actually am very happy with iOS 11 though, so what do I know.

The iPhone 5 form factor was followed by the iPhone 6 form factor which sold way more than the 5 ever did. People moved on from the small 4” display because most people wanted a bigger phone with a bigger display.

iOS 6 - yuck. But if you want to live in the past, just get one of these old devices and hope for that ancient os to still be installed somewhere.

Yes, after a while of putting my X down to do stuff and then pick it back up: I forgot how beautiful / crisp the screen is. I forgot how they nailed the design and size.

Seriously, I sometimes just hold my phone up and check out the design and screen up close. Makes you appreciate the hard work that went into this. It is not perfect but I don't think there will ever be a perfect phone.

But we don't want an iPhone X form factor phone. We all want the 8 form factor to live on.

No, not all of us care for the 5/6/7/8 form factor. I wanted a phone without the worthless bezels and bought the X because the unneeded home button and bezels were gone. Otherwise, I would still be using my 6s.

Please?

It's not intuitive, its awkward, its over priced and it eliminates useful features. This is not a flame thread, I have no intention of starting anything. I am just one who loves the iPhone 6/7/8 form factor and I don't want to see that go away this year, even though its very likely going to. There has to be others out there who want an 8S??? I just don't see the love for the X.
Bezel iPhone's are dead. I doubt we will ever see another one.

If you meant large bezels, than I agree. A bezeless iPhone is some years away.
It's perfectly understandable and acceptable to refer to the iPhone X as a bezel-less phone. You don't need to chime in and say otherwise.

The iPhone X has a bezel. Saying otherwise is flat out wrong. On that note, there is nothing wrong with the thin bezel on the X nor the bezel notch (except when watching video for me). And simmer down with the chiming in nonsense. I have as much right to reply as you do.

I did as requested and forgot about the X. Then some butthead texted me. It took me a minute to figure out where the strange sound was coming from, then I realized it was a cell phone sitting next to me and I was reminded all over again what a beautiful iPhone X I have.

Fun experiment. But I think I'm out now.

Let's all forget about the iPhone X, but here's a thread to remind us about the iPhone X.

In terms of buying an X I will forget about it for now. I highly doubt i’ll own an iPhone with the 2017 form factor until it’s a few generations old the way things are going. This is the only place I see the X in any case so in order to forget it, I just need to stop checking Mac Rumours :p

Enjoy my ignore list.

iPhone X has bezels.
It has a bezel all around the display culminating in what folks refer to as the notch

I think you’re being overly pedantic. In terms of where the iPhone once was and where the iPhone X currently is, it’s not unheard of that iPhone X can be referred to being *bezel-less*. And clearly Apple is moving away from where the iPhone 6/6//7/8 was with the border bezels.

It will be gone by the end of the year and you will have paid all that money for a product that is nothing.

The above quote doesn’t make any sense at all. Why would somebody have paid for the iPhone X that would be nothing? The current iPhone X will see at least four more years of iOS updates, given we know Apples quality with the hardware, their products last. So I’m not following your logic here at all. Also, when Apple introduces the new 2018 5.8 iPhone X, naturally they will discontinue in likeliness the current 5.8 iPhone X. Its The evolution of a product that is superseded by something new annually. It’s called tech.

The 8+ will still be here.

The question is, why *wouldn’t* the iPhone 8 not be here in the fall? Of course Apple will discount it and still keep it in their lineup, alongside the iPhone 7 and 6S/SE in all likeliness.
