That warning has been on every iOS beta for years now and this has never happened. I still think this is a bug and future betas will be back to normal.
Obviously it's a bug, but the fact stands that Apple does state that by installing you MAY not be able to go back... Just sayin'.

I didn't have any troubles downgrading an iPhone SE from iOS 11 DP2 to 10.3.2 in DFU mode.
Must be device specific. I've put my various iOS devices in DFU mode more than a handful of times over the years. Never had an issue restoring from a beta as long as Apple was continuing to sign the firmware version. I took my 10.5 Pro to Apple and they were unable to fix it. They would have replaced the device under warranty righ there and then, but didn't have any replacements in stock. I planned on simply returning it to BestBuy (where I bought it).

Fixed it myself the next morning by restoring in recovery mode (not DFU) to 11B2, restoring to 11B1 (finding IPSW was challenging) and finally restoring to 10.3.2.

YMMV - seems to be device specific.

One unique legacy issue I have is that after getting back to 10.3.2 I restored via iTunes from a recent backup. The Developer Beta Profile was gone, but still prompts me under software update to install 11B2. I added the Public Beta Profile, still asked for 11B2 (as opposed to 10.3.3B4). Removed the Public Beta Profile, and still get the option to update to 11B2. Seems my iPad is still provisioned for developer builds and I can't figure out a way to remove it. Not a problem - won't be updating to iOS 11 until public betas available (and stable).

just FYI, the iOS 10 profile and iOS 11 profile are not the same.

Apple replaced my iPhone 7 plus because of this issue. They couldn't find a solution (one that has been discovered here) to what is most certainly a nasty bug... One that Apple is going to have to fix before they toss the public beta into the wild. DP3 will be PB1 it seems.

Hi friends, i’m new to this forum and i need your help, please:
I have iphone 6s plus, i installed ios11 beta 2 and want to downgrade to 10.3.2 or 10.3.3
How can i do this but without loosing all my application data? I mean viber chats and pictures, all my pics, etc
It is possible or?
Can you give me, please, the steps to do this?
Thanks a lot for your help

Wasn’t it possible to do a shift-update from iOS 11 beta 1 to iOS 10.x? In that case, could we just do a DFU from b2 to b1, then iTunes shift update from b1 to 10.x?

Just wondering because I want to keep my data and it turns out my 10.x backups were failing for like 4 months straight without iOS letting me know.

So basically ... install iOS11 beta 2, force DFU mode and attempt to restore in iTunes, get new phone! Let me check my 6S guarantee ...

Well, I wouldn't say that's what I was going for. . . .but as it turned out, that's what happened. Apple didn't (doesn't?) have an official fix for this right now, and the Genius' didn't have a clue. Like I said before, all of this happened to me before those in the forum here figured out a work around to get it back to 10.3.2.

hey i found a fix to get back to iOS 10.3.2 or iOS 10.3.1 First if your on iOS 11 beta 2 downgrade to iOS 11 beta 1. any method works fine. then download the iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 IPSW and go to iTunes and shift-click(windows) or alt/option-click(mac) on restore. then choose the iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 IPSW file and it should downgrade successfully. this happened to me and i was talking to apple support for hours and they said i had to take my iPhone into a apple store and get it repaired. but i found this method so try it out and it might work for you. Hopefully then you should be able to downgrade to iOS 10.3.1 or iOS 10.3.2 :) Good luck

Yeah, true ... and I'm just sayin' that the fact stands that the warning has been on every beta of iOS for years (easily as far back as iOS 7 and possibly beyond).

Alright, finally installing 10.3.3b4 on my iPhone 6S. I'm done with iOS 11 until GM at the very earliest. I need a working phone more than I want the new CC and uglier UI.

I updated to iOS 11 beta 2 today from iOS 10.3.2 on an 10.5 iPad Pro. When I go to downgrade to 10.3.2, I get stuck in recovery mode. That is, everything installs fine, the firmware is verified by iTunes, the iPad restarts, the white Apple logo flashes, but then it quickly goes to recovery mode with the lightening cable and iTunes logo.

I was able reinstall iOS 11 beta 2 and boot up. When I went to downgrade again, same recovery mode loop.

Anyone else have this issue? I want to get back to 10.3.2, but can't seem to do so.

Hey. Just a few questions.

Could I restore my iPhone to iOS 11 beta 2 without a developers account? Like using the DFU mode or something like that?

Thanks.

try first with 10.3.3 ipsw and then u can with 10.3.2

I tried those tools like tinyumbrella and it didn't work at all.
Tinyumbrella didn't update for Some years and it's too old. Next time you can try reiboot, Here are some solutions that was convinced by some developers.
Solution 1: Downgrade IOS 11 Beta 2 to IOS 11 Beta;then downgrade to IOS 10.3.2.
Solution 2:Downgrade IOS 11 Beta 2 to IOS 10.3.3;

We agree that you need to have the developer account to downgrade to iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 right? I have just install iOS 11 beta 2 from a link “ Youtube “ have a iPhone 6s. Cant downgrade :/

I am in the same boat here. I have a 10.5" iPad Pro that is now stuck in recovery mode when trying to restore from iOS 11 Beta 2 back to iOS 10. Not my main device, but I was having issues using a few iBooks that I am studying and some apps having issues. I decided to just revert back to iOS 10 and then bam, bricked. Never had this happen or have so many people have the same issue. Apple should be able to help though, or perhaps I just return the thing. Either way, I would not want the Public Beta out there with this kind of issue as I have a dev account and cannot imagine the general curious consumer going through this.

Did u manage to find a solution?

No developer account needed; instructions are in this very thread.

Yes. Just download the ipsw and do a DFU restore in iTunes. I had to do this myself yesterday when my phone got stuck in "headphone" mode and in effect disabled the speaker. Make sure to run an iCloud backup right before you enter DFU mode. I got everything back apart from my Apple Pay credit cards (to be expected as they're not backed up).

Thank you all for the help.

I can confirm the fix for those who have iPad pro 10.5 and couldn't downgrade back to IOS 10.3.2 from beta iOS 2.
Need to install IPSW 10.3.3 beta , and then downgrade to 10.3.2 regularly...
Glad I didn't need to go to an apple store and go through the RMA process :)
