Can't get on EDGE network! ("Could not activate EDGE")

I know you may have Heard this before but do check that the firmware on you router is up to date I had the same issue and once I updated the firmware it fixed the issue

Happens a lot in LA

I live on the west side of LA and get this message fairly frequently. I find that the ATT Edge network is horrible... I love the iPhone, but the network is pretty bad.

I get the "could not activate Edge" message sometimes several times a day - I've called, and of course ATT has nothing useful to say about the issue. Browsing the web is a bit of a joke.. unless you're really, really patient.

i backed up my iphone, but now i dont have Edge acces. I do connect via wi-fi but no edge or grps.

i reseted my network settings and reset all setting, nothing good happend.

i tried rebooting my iphone, still no edge
