Caudabe case

Placed my order on the 25th for the grey sheath, got an "order has shipped" email on the 26th. The order says it is the grey sheath, but the picture has the Amethyst color. Hope it's just a glitch and it actually is the grey.

The order that I received a confirmation for that was delivered today, showed the Lucid Clear Celestial Blue and I had this delivered instead today. You can imagine the anger on my face when I opened the package. Caudabe has never sent me the wrong items before.

Oh I'd be furious. I have enough charging blocks and cables, I'd much rather the case. On the flip side, looks like you probably just scored a new block and cable.

It a glitch. It was the same for me with my black case

Can confirm. When I ordered my black case the purple one showed on my invoice but it said "black."

For those who went with the gray case, how does it look? Is it lighter like the pictures suggest on the site or is it darker? I am interested in getting the gray but I am just not sold on it....yet. I'm trying to figure out if it will look good with the blue titanium.

No screen protector. In fact most of the time I use the phone without a case. I bought a case for when I have to travel (airport security), and other times where there’s an unusually high risk of dinging/dropping the phone.

Received the Sheath in black for the 15 Pro. It’s a very nice case. Fits great, bottom of the case is comfortable to hole, buttons great, slimmer than expected. Just very well thought out everywhere.

Now..subjective, but I just don’t know if I love the texture. I had this case for my 11 for a while and after going to leather for my 13, I much preferred it.

I may try Silicone or Bullstrap.

Yes I have a ton of cables and charging blocks. I don’t need anymore but as long as they don’t ask for it back, I’ll just add it to my drawer of usb c cables and charging blocks. I have a order from Caudabe coming tomorrow, but I’m a little nervous on what is coming now.

I received a response back from Caudabe, and apparently I didn’t get the email they sent out, so they sent this email in response to the email I sent earlier. I don’t feel angry anymore. Tomorrow I should be receiving my Lucid Clear Crystal White and the Celestial Blue Lucid Clear will be shipping soon hopefully.

I’d say stick with it for a little bit. When I first switched from Apple Silicone like five years ago, I was on the fence like you. Then the more I used it, the more I loved it. Now when I get other cases just to try out, they just feel weird. I always go back to the Sheath.

I think the texture probably helps in keeping the case looking new too. Lots of lesser textured cases can get easily scratched or scuffed. Looking at you, Apple silicone.

And there’s just something about this year’s Sheath that I love. I’m not sure if it’s the felt lining or the tighter fit, but the case is just rock solid. Really liking it.

My dispatched email for the blue also featured the amethyst design, so I think it's just a stock photo for the sheath.

It did make me think what the blue PM would look like in an amethyst case though, to the extent that when I come to order the new version of the sheath, I think I'm going to order amethyst. The blue case is fantastic, but the amethyst is a gorgeous colour and the little hint of blue around the lenses would look really nice.

If I can get enough natural sunlight, I can take a pic of my blue titanium phone with the 14PM amethyst case on.

I like the color. It was a perfect match for my Deep Purple. Also the camera cutout last year looked better than this year. This year’s case also made my 15PM feel lighter compared to the 14PM. Overall the Synthesis is one of my favorite cases and I am so pleased with it.
 
Considering the Synthesis after trying the Sheath.

How do the textures compare?

The Sheath was rougher than I wanted. Still excellent and guessing some people would prefer.

If my order holds true and is actually delivered on Saturday, I can post some pics of the grey sheath for you. Although I don't have the blue titanium, mine is the white titanium.
 
Considering the sheath, but how's the weight on it? Upgraded from 13PM to 15PM for the 20g weight savings and don't want to add it back from the case.

It’s heavier than it would appear to be. It’s thin but dense, if that makes sense.

There are YouTubers that weigh it on a scale, but I want to say an Apple Leather case was like 35 and the comparative Sheath was 55 grams. Don’t quote but that’s ballpark.

I just weighed my 15 Pro Sheath and it's 39g. The thickness and denseness reminds me of last year's Apple leather case (if that helps any). I don't have Pro Max Sheath to weigh though.

There are lighter cases if you don't want drop protection or magsafe. These both add weight of course.
