I've seen this case mentioned as one of the thinnest but never at length so thought I would write this. I just received it after waiting a couple of weeks for shipping. It arrived in very barebones packaging with just the case.

Taking it right out, it feels like a cross between a hard case and a soft case. It doesn't feel amazing, but not bad by any means.

Inserting the phone, the first thing you notice is the thinness. I wasn't prepared for it being quite THIS thin! Having the phone in also transforms the feel into something much more premium. I think this is because it's very hard to make something so thin seem quality.

The case is very fingerprint (and sweaty hands) resistant. There is no lay on the table design here as the case does not encroach above the screen, a desired feature in my situation. Your finger glides off the edge as usual.

In all, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a slim case. There will be zero drop protection so you better have an iron grasp, but that goes for all slim covers.

No pictures as I can't take pictures of my phone with my phone!

I'm interested in this case (have the spigen ultra thin air now) but I'm resistant since I see the price used to be $10 and its almost double that now. If it drops back down I'll give it a try.

Just got mine today for my gold 5S and love it so far. This is what I've been looking for in a case. A case that doesn't look like it's even there.

I have the case. Here is a pic of it on my silver iphone 5s.

I had the Caudabe Veil for my 5 and 5s and have nothing but great things to say about it. It's literally the perfect case for those of us who like keeping our iPhones nice and slim. I've gotten a ton of compliments about this case. Actually, usually the conversation starts with a, "so you don't have a case for your iPhone?" After which I show them that actually I do have one on, and then they're invariably amazed by the thinness.

Definitely not for the Otterbox crowd, but it's great for those of us who take care of our phones.

I've seen a bunch of the Caudabe Veil / gold iPhone combo. I don't have pictures on me, but I think it looks great. The gold is slightly washed out, but it's actually hard to tell unless you're comparing it against a naked iPhone (which is, what, almost never?). Great case.

I've got the frost one with a gold iPhone and my husband has the black one with his space grey iPhone. Both look fantastic and super sexy! I have to say I'm partial to mine because it shows the iPhone better, but both look really nice. We haven't had a problem with durability although both of us are pretty careful with our phones.

Well I've had the case a while now, though I've got a lot of others both slim and bulkier ones.
This thing keeps finding its way back onto my phone, and I'm always amazed by how thin it is.

On the downside, protection is obviously limited. I dropped the phone and it chipped the bezel through the case. It would have had more scratches without, so there's that at least.

My biggest annoyance in cases is the lip around the bezel. The way I use my phone, I slide my finger right off the screen so I like a clear bezel and this is THE only case I have found that offers a better feeling than the stock phone.

That's funny. I keep coming back to the Veil too. Other cases just seem ridiculously bulky by comparison. I LOVE the texture of this case, too. I agree that it actually feels better than the stock phone.

I broke one Veil just dropping it on a hardwood floor. I'm not surprised. There's only so much durability it can provide being so thin. I personally am OK with that, especially since it's inexpensive. If it breaks, it's not like buying another Otterbox. Worth it to me to maintain the slimness of the iPhone.

At one point I used the Pinlo case that's just like this one and loved how it didn't really add nah thickness to the phone but it got scratched up very easily and looked terrible after a few weeks. Is the Veil any better? I wonder if maybe it's made from a different material.

There are a lot of generic thin cases that seem the same in pictures but are clearly different when you see them in person. I've fallen for that trap a few times buying the cheap ones on eBay. The Caudabe has a nice smooth-ish matte texture to it. So far mine hasn't gotten scratched up at all.

Nice review. I swear by this case. It's like going naked without actually going naked. Awesome product.

Just be prepared to buy more than one because it's impossibly thin.

Nope. I've had my Veil for a while and Mary a scratch. I think it helps that it's a matte texture as opposed to completely clear. Those get scratched up easily, I think.

Can someone post a pic of the clear on on a black iPhone 5/5s. I have a feeling it will look strange and will have to settle for black. I'm considering picking this up to replace my thicker diztronic. I want to use it without a case totally but I know it will scratch.

I don't have the clear one, but a buddy does and I can confirm that it does look strange on a black iPhone. You should get the wisp version instead or whatever they call the black one.

Will post some pics later this evening when I get home. This is one of the best cases I've ever used. Upon first glance most people don't even think there's a case on it.

hey, heres pics of it in the gold.
