anyone have the pics of the black one on a black iphone 5/5s?

i really want one but just cant seem to justify spending $15 on this case

Kidding right? iPhone that costs hundreds, and worried about $15? Trust me, it is money well spent on this one.

It's not the $15 I'm worried about. It's the quality of some of the cutouts I've seem of it in close ups. Just looks uneven in spots. And it looks more like a case that should be $5 like the thin eBay ones. I don't mind spending the money on it, I'm just concerned about the quality once you start molding that thin.

I don't know what pics you've seen, but I can tell you that on mine the cutouts are pretty darn near perfect. Centered nicely.

I've bought the cheap thin eBay ones before. Waste of money. It's a complete mixed bag what you end up getting. Plus the customer support is nonexistent. Might be the worst experience I've ever had. On the flip side, I've bought several of these Caudabe Veils for myself and family and the quality has been consistent each time. I had to deal with them once on a case that seemed defective and they sent me a replacement right away. Really pleasant experience.

Anyway, why not just buy on Amazon and if you don't like it, just return it. I pretty much only buy stuff on Amazon these days if I can help it for that reason.

I agree with this 100%!

I have nothing but high praises for Caudabe. Ordered a second case for my old iphone 5 I gave to a family member. It came today, but the frosted back was discolored. I sent company an email with picture and within a hour they responded and are sending me a new case. That's what I call customer service! The case on my 5s is perfect! I will be sticking with this company for a long time.

Yup, sounds similar to the experience I've had with them too. Great attitude and service. Really hassle free.

Here are shots of the Caudabe on my space gray 5s. I wish they had a more gray frost version. It does have a brown tint. But I like the case, so I'm going with it for awhile.

I like the lip that hugs the 5s chamfered edge. Nice touch that the Desmay never had.

The case is a little more slippery than I'm used to from my regular Incase Feather, but I'll get used to it.

The angle and lighting of the 1st shot doesn't show the Apple logo very well, but its visible.

Looks terrific! A lot like mine. :)

I think the brown thing is a function of the ambient lighting. On mine, I noticed that when I'm indoors in more yellowish/incandescent lighting, it gives off a slight brown tint. But, when I'm outdoors or anywhere with whiter lighting, it looks smoky/grayish. I agree that a grayer frost version might not be so bad as long as it doesn't wash out the black part too much.

Was wondering about that. I just received it and haven't seen it in daylight. Actually thought it may look browner in daylight. Thanks for the info.

I have a generic ebay version of this case and it cost 2$ shipped...

Nah, not the same as the Caudabe. Believe me, I've tried them all. Tremendous variation in quality with those cheap eBay sellers. They may look similar, but they're usually lacking in fit and finish in one way or another. And then of course customer service is nonexistent and the product takes weeks to actually arrive at your doorstep. Just an all around disaster of an experience with the knockoff eBay stuff, at least for me. Same thing with the knockoff Speck cases or knockoff Apple bumpers.

For me it fits perfectly, hows the finish on your Caudabe? The generic eBay feels like any other frost hard case.

The point is that you may or may not get one that fits for your particular order. It's completely hit or miss. Just look at the product photos in your link, especially around the volume buttons. Some of the photos show cases that cover the area around the volume buttons, some show cases that leave that entire area open. So which will you get if you order?
And it says shipping times are 11-22 business days? AND if you have a problem you have to deal with someone from China? No thanks. I'm happy with the Caudabe I bought on Amazon that from my own experience has been consistent in quality. And at least if there's a problem, I know I can return on Amazon or contact someone at Caudabe for a replacement.

I've had the same experience buying knockoff Speck Candyshells and knockoff Spigen cases on eBay. It's just a disaster. But, hey, your mileage may vary.

I see what your getting at, My case has perfect cutouts same as the Caudabe. From my experience there are certain cases that knocks off don't even come close. Its hard to explain but with my experience, I have a general idea on which cases I should shell out the cash for and which I can save some money. The more complex the case is, eg: two piece cases or hybrid molded cases, don't buy knocks off those from eBay. As for customer service, not very often do i need customer service for a case but then again that might be just me.
