Working great so far. Tremendous difference compared to the past. It is a plastic film, feels like a regular non glass screen protector. I’ve used glass all my life so this will take some getting used to

I received mine today and agree that it’s working great. This is also the first non-glass screen protector I’ve used and I agree with you here too, it will definitely take some getting used to.

I tweaked the install instructions slightly. And this might seem a little crazy, but I put a Clorox dust cloth over the screen after cleaning and then pulled back the yellow tab, aligned the protector, and slowly pulled the dust wipe out while squeegeeing the protector into place. The protector went on extremely well and I avoided getting any dust trapped under it.

Lol hilarious. Screen works 100% fine with my glass screen protector if it’s sitting on my lap, in the Smart Keyboard case.

Guess my lap is helping conductivity. So far I think I can get used to using my iPad with a glass screen protector using the various workarounds, such as touching a part of the metal bezel, but I hope there is some freakin fix for this issue soon.

Since my 12.9” works flawlessly with a glass protector I may return the 11” till this issue is fixed somehow.

Just got the media devil delivered to me in NYC it came USPS. I didn’t pay for express. So USA should start receiving this week it looks like
I’m in Utah and I got mine today as well. I expect I’ll install it tomorrow as I’m working this evening.

Had the same issue on my 12.9 3rd gen. Low touch sensitivity and missed touches although the pen worked fine. Then I went to settings and disabled multi tasking gestures. Ever since my sensitivity problem seems to be solved. Sounds like a software issue with IOS.
I have disabled multi tasking gestures which i never use anyway and its been a half hour and i have no scrolling issues on my 12.9inch with glass screen protector. Like stated above it could be software related.

How long did it take to arrive? I ordered yesterday and it just shipped today. I didn't pay for express...and apparently I don't get a tracking number with that.

It took two weeks, but we had the Thanksgiving holiday in the middle, so it might be less for you?

Mine has been 13 days since shipped. Still waiting

I ordered mine last week with tracking but not express and then I emailed them asking how long do they take to come. They told me 7 to 15 working days, so I’d expect around 2 to 3 weeks (they did emphasise 15 working days as worse case scenario but we are nearing Christmas). Oh and this is to Australia. Seem to be shipped from UK but handled by deutche post.

I have the 11' iPad Pro with the Apple Keyboard and I just installed the Tech Armor screen protector. Fortunately, I have not been experiencing any issues thus far. It responds well when connected to the keyboard as well as by itself. Also, the Apple Pencil works well.
I do have a pair gloves that usually work with my iPhone but rarely work with the iPad. This was the case before and after the screen protector. This seems to be more like a change in the display type than anything else.

Interesting
There’s no clever way of ascertaining whether they’ve replaced/updated the digitizer is there? Like on a PC i might be able to find out the hardware type of various components - don’t know if there’s an App that helps with that info...

I’d theorised that there might be a quality control issue but in truth have no way of proving it and it was just a best guess.

Update on turning off mult. Tasking gestures 48hrs ago on my ipad 12.9 screen. After 48hrs of use i have not had any touch or scrolling issues with the same glass screen protector. Anyone else have the same luck after prolonged use after Turing mult tasking gestures off?

Truthfully since I turned mine off I think 2 days ago as well (need to check when I posted I turned mine off), I have not had any issues like I was having before. Yes there are a few missed touches but nothing like how it was. The iPad reads all my finger inputs....I really don't know what to say. I am also using the tech armor that I received recently and waiting on the media devil.

I am also waiting on the media devil but not looking forward to putting it on because i applied my glass screen protector perfectly and hate to remove it for the media devil. I wish i knew the touch issues with glass screen protectors because now its getting expensive buying these protectors. I am glad it is working 100% of the time now but features should not have to be turned off.

Same over here. Since I turned gestures off, everything seems to be fine (with the exception of a few missed touches). So do you think this mystery can be solved trough a software update?

I just checked for an update and there’s one iOS 12.1.1. Downloading it now to see if it helps with touch issue(with glass screen protector). Seems like its just a security update though.

It doesn’t, ive been running the beta and noticed no change. Today’s release is the same as beta 3

Exactly I didn’t see any change at all, it has nothing to do with that, at least on my end. I still had a bunch of issues, unless I touched the metal bezel and then every single gesture works.

Which bezel?
I still believe a firmware patch or software update can alleviate this issue, as the digitizer works great; it makes the click sound, (actually clicks down) and shades the letter you’re pushing... but just doesn’t always input all the way on a couple keys.
So if it was a hardware problem with the digitizer, we’d have far more errors or it wouldn’t work even without a cover.
Plus... my T, O, I, U, and P letters are the only input issues I have, and they only act up When doing posts like this, YouTube, or doing simple notes... every other key works really great and in pretty much 95% of all iPad Programs. It also works without any issues when I enter a password, and with how this is acting you’d think entering a long passcode would be improbable.
So yeah, IF the digitizer was the main issue I highly doubt it would have a random set of letters not work (they aren’t all even near each other too,) it could be a slight error with the code where the software to hardware meet in iOS (where it tells the software to input whatever key was clicked, or just the sensitivity of some of the keys.)

****just for good measure, I typed the rest of this text using the pencil and it had no problem at all.

I can’t afford Apple Care yet, so sticking with glass seems better than plastic as the plastic will not do much in terms of protection when drawing, or if I accidentally lose grip of the pencil and it hits the screen. I’ll stick with the glass right now... especially with how good the pencil works inputting each key perfectly and how it’s only a few keys that are the issue with only my fingers... I really feel this is fixable with repairs or whatnot.
So yeah, with the glass it works 98% of the time with my fingers... but 110% of the time it works fanatics and precise with the Pencil... so again I wonder how the digitizer/hardware would be the problem?
I wonder if any manufacturer will make a glass cover that’s 0.20-0.30mm thin, and if that would work.

Kallum.

The issue I’ve found, with several different brands of glass screen protectors and more than one 11” iPad, shows up when for example trying to swipe the edge of screen to go backwards or forwards on web pages in Safari, maybe 1/10 swipe registers if I’m lucky - but then, put a hand/finger and touch ANY part of the metal edge/bezel, and now 10/10 swipes register, every single one. Even having the iPad in the keyboard case sitting on my lap, 10/10 swipes work, set the iPad on a couch or glass table, again maybe 1/10 and it’s super glitchy.

Another weird thing it seems to work pretty much 10/10 when in the apple keyboard folio and in either of the 2 magnetic positions - but once keyboard is folded back and you’re not touching the bare metal somewhere, all the issues are back. It’s some kind of conductivity issue it seems.
Sounds maybe like magnet issue?... don’t know...
Thing is, I don have any of the issues you said, I don’t have to hold it, put it in a special case, or touch the bezel to have it register my touch.
I’d take yours back to Apple (returns go until January) as yours sounds like more or less defective than just a minor input glitch with glass covers. Just my 0.2 cents.
