I cannot believe it: I have the JeTech 3 gen. screen protection which didn't work well with the iPad 11 – until I updated now to iOS 12.2!

I can confirm this too... but how is this possible?!

I was actually testing my iPad Pro 11” last night because I was going to take it into the Apple store with touch issues, but when I laid it down in the normal position, that I knew didn’t work, I could not recreate it....which was strange!

I presume there had to be some issue with the software relating to the Giroscope, could it have been playing up and telling the screen not to work randomly when lying flat?

I just updated to 12.2 we will see what happens. My iPad does not have the touch bug, but the screen protector can cause little quirks only when your not holding the iPad.

IOS 12.2 HAS FIXED SCREEN PROTECTOR RELATED TOUCH ISSUES! WOW! It didn’t bug me much, only when I wasn’t holding my iPad Pro would the screen protector cause issues.

This may or may not resolve the touch problem if your iPad has the touch bug without using a screen protector though.

My 1TB ipad 11” is fabulously perfect, and now with perfect touch response while using a 0.33 glass screen protector.

Thanks Apple!

I can’t believe a update fixed this.

Before updating my iPad Pro 11” 512gb to iOS version 12.2 my iPad was working fine with a Mediadevil protector.
Just replaced the Md protector because the MD is a massive fingerprint collector.
And it’s not that a very smooth protector (surface is not as smooth as a glass protector).

My new Jettech is working great with the iPad, after updating to 12.2 it still works great.

Can I get, um, 100 more people with glass protectors to test 12.2 and confirm please? This was the only issue holding up my purchase for my use case. Thank you.

Well the Jettech gen3 glass screen protector solved the issue for me before the IOS 12.2 update. But if it helps I have just updated to IOS 12.2 and its still solved :)

iPad Pro 11 inch

I’m currently using the MD protector, its awesome but as everyone has said, it is a fingerprint magnet. I updated to 12.2 today and the sensitivity issues i had (VERY MINIMAL) are now gone. After seeing that and after seeing everyone having success with JetTech i believe I’m going to be buying the jettech one because its better on fingerprints and its glass. Will be following this thread for the next week or two in order to see what everyone thinks about jettech then i’ll Make my decision then.

Ive been following this thread from the beginning, although i just made my account now. This has been super helpful for my iPad journey.

I’m looking forward to ordering the jettech protector one a few more people post their opinions on it.

It is a real fix for sure. I could repeat my screen protector touch related issues anytime I wanted by simply laying my iPad on my rug in the living room, and trying to unlock it with my finger.

There is no question about it, the update has fixed it.

I"m ordering the slightly more costed 11" protector once I'm home later today.
AM has settled some though not reached the required quality at least that's my thoughts,

Are you on 12.2?

Yes 12.2 2nd beta I think.

Anyone with Zagg glass protector and 12.2 confirming the fix? I would like to buy an 11" and the Zagg. Thanks.

After 2 days of usage I can only conclude that the issue (if there was any issue at all) has been fixed.
Experienced no touch issues with the Jettech.

I’m pretty confident the fix is for all glass screen protectors. I really didn’t even mind the issue all that much previously, regardless it has fixed my issues.

But if it helps, the Zagg is identical to my Skinomi 11” screen protector.

How are the fingerprints with jettech? Is it also a magnet like MD?

Nope does really well with them. I have never noticed fingerprints in any of the jet tech units I have used (1 version on the 10.5" and 3 versions on the 11"). Its not magic so I'm sure you can mark it if you held it with jam on your fingers but the fact I can't recall ever noticing fingerprints at all is a good sign.

Maybe you have touch issues with your iPad that are not screen protector related. Like I said, I went through 3 iPads trying to find a good one. And I was never using a screen protector on the old ones.

Finally able to put jetech screen protectors on my 11 and 12.9. They work flawlessly. I’m so glad we can not worry about this issue anymore.

I have included some photo's
AM top Gorilla Tech bottom
Also a quick message to retailer as it doesn't have any adhesive which package sates should be peeled off.
Once I get that sorted then this is far superior screen protector.
