I have noticed some manufacturers are only concerned about the Face ID and not touch sensitivity too. Not smart.

For me it's the opposite. I have no interest in Touch ID or Face ID. On all of my previous iPhones with touch id, I use an adhesive button to stick on top of the home button.

Now reduced screen sensitivity is a huge issue.

My main concern too is touch sensitivity.

No issues naked. Tons with glass!

I think there is something different about these news screens that is making them very finicky with glass. Maybe it is the static from the screen that adheres it, I don't know. All I know is the manufacturers have to have them by now and need to address this. Maybe they need to make them even thinner. I am thinking I will go film if I can even find a good film. Anyone with links to good film for these?

I got the iCarez one from Amazon. They’re sending me one with the proper cutout next week. I like the feel of it and it doesn’t affect the sensitivity to touch at all. It is matte so it does make the display fuzzier but I prefer fuzzy to glare. Maybe someone else will have a recommendation for a non-matte one.

UPDATE - Maybe Good News !!

Ok I have only had this thing for the afternoon. Did a quick test and posted my results. Went out and have had a another go.

1) All my tons of apps have updated now and the touch sensitivity seems to be spot on. Maybe it was just bogged down from downloading tons of pictures, apps all at the same time on first launch. Only had 5minutes testing before this post but so far feels buttery smooth and responsive like my 10.5 inch ipad Pro.

2) The face ID still didn't work. However, JetTech sent an email saying to push down on the screen protector right where the face ID is. I didn't do this before because it looks like a perfect seal no bubbles or anything. However, I thought worth a shot so took a micro fibre cloth and pushed that part down. Bingo, suddenly Face ID works fine. Again don't know the longevity of this but it seems that a tiny imperceptible amount of gap can throw FaceID off. So maybe thats why some had face ID work initially then fail as the screen protector came unstuck by some invisible tiny fraction of a mm that changed its refractive properties.

Hope thats useful info. Very pleased myself. The screen protector went on so perfectly this time that if everything works its probably the first time ever I have had one go on so its totally invisible. If all the features keep working its a total win.
All I need now is a case that actually fits and is compatible with the new Apple pencil (but they offered to replace it within 2 weeks with an accurate case, seems to get them on amazon before launch they make them based off the leaked moulds which aren't quite right https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H6D621S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

That and for Netflix etc to be updated to go full screen ;)

ps
If you didn't read my earlier post I am using the JetTech screen protector from Amazon.

This might work for some—I was actually hoping for that result too, but it was not to be. Last night I was still having major issues, so I decided to let the iPad sit overnight and do the rest of whatever it needed to do for the restore. In the morning I got it out to use it for work, and it seemed like the touch responsiveness was just getting worse and worse. I did a hard reboot just to see what would happen—no change. And it was completely unpredictable. I never knew when an app was going to open or not, or when a keystroke on the screen would not register. I couldn’t take it anymore after one hour and took the protector off.

I will say it was also starting to creep into my brain that maybe I got a bad iPad too, so I wanted to take the screen protector off just to make sure. As I suspected, the iPad operates normally without it.

I agree with you. There is something inherently different about these new 11" iPPs that is killing the glass screen protectors sensitivity.

Phew that s a relief. At least if it plays up again I know that others found the issue was the screen protector and not the hardware. Although I guess if it was a hardware problem Apple would replace it.

Yeah I was freaking out too that I had a bad iPad when I first got it. Took the glass off and it went right back to perfect sensitivity.

I'm hoping we see a screen protector with a normal cutout soon. I was wondering why my phone works fine and looked -- of course it's got the cutouts at the top.

Still worrisome that touch sensitivity seems impaired however. Not sure what the fix is for that.

For now I'm just having to keep my microfiber cloth on me and wiping the screen down before drawing -- I hate going w/o a glass protector, though. :/

There won’t be a fix or explanation coming from Apple, that’s for sure. They do not believe screen protectors are necessary.

Do you have a link to the iCarez film? It sounds like they are updating them to have a proper cutout. I looked on Amazon and the one I found still doesn't have the proper cutout.

I bought the one at the link with the wrong cutout. They are sending me a replacement. My guess is that when they have the proper one, they’ll list it.

Thank you. I will keep an eye out for it.

I didn’t lay a single finger on the screen before putting one on. The person I sell to in a year will likely be the first one to touch the actual screen.
I’m the exact same way. Always have been. Really bummed out that I have to wait until someone releases one that will work.

FaceID didn’t work with this one for me, but screen sensitivity was ok:

Supershieldz for Apple iPad Pro 11 inch Tempered Glass Screen Protector, Anti-Scratch, Bubble Free, Lifetime Replacement Warranty (2018 Release) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K1K8GLV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iXp5BbBEWFYDZ

Amazon refunded me, and it looks like the product is now unavailable.

Update on the Sparin. First, I ordered it yesterday from Amazon and it came over night with no extra charge. I installed it according to the You Tube Video. Easy install. Everything works perfectly. Face ID, sensitivity, no problems.

Pictures? I ordered yesterday and even though it says in stock, with one day shipping it won’t get here until Tuesday which sucks to have the ipad and keep it in the box for a near week....

Is this for the 11”? Please post a link to the one you bought. I had the Sparin and it had major issues.

No, 12.9

I will try to figure out how to post pictures.
Ah yes, as I’ve stated, for some reason this seems to be more of an 11” thing. Not sure if the screens are different or something. Please post a link to the screen protector or a picture anyway so we can see what the new one looks like.
